Great video! A little tip for you to consider next time, if you prepare some extra sauce, you can assemble the lasagnas without cooking the noodles (yes, even with traditional lasagna noodles). My mom has done this since I was little and I do it now. Just make your lasagnas a little extra saucy, and that will be enough to soften and cook the noodles when you pop them in the oven! It's a huge time-saver on a meal prep day.

Also.....with all those yummy veggies you grow.....peppers, onions, garlic.....I chop mine up as small as I can without mincing it and throw that all in my sauce.....and I don't pre-cook my pasta either....you could even make a meatless Za with all those veggies!!!

I covered my bowl and stuck it outdoors in the sunshine to proof today....rose beautifully! I like the heat mat idea for winter....I wonder if a heating pad would work since I don't have a grow mat?🤔

I'll preheat my oven on lowest setting and shut it off, then put the dough in. It's great to find a variety of solutions! Thank you 👍

Bre, this is absolutely genius and couldn't have been posted at a better time! Every year I struggle to get good meals made during planting and canning season, and resort to either not taking care of myself or eating junk. There are some rainy days in the forecast so I'm going to be prepping some of these recipes. Thank you!

I cook about 5-10lbs. of boneless, skinless chicken breast in a large crock pot covered in water for roughly 3-5 hours on high....or they can simmer on low for the day or night. I also strain and use the broth, but I use "bear claws" 🤣....literally looks like a set of claws to finely shred the cooked chicken.....sooooo easy to do. My son bought the "claws" for me as a gift. I honestly thought I'd never use them, but I absolutely LOVE them. I freeze any chicken broth that I don't need within a few days, and I freeze shredded portions of the chicken for future meals including soups.

You have so much energy! Great idea preparing meals ahead of time. I no longer buy shredded cheese - since I found out about the things that are added for shelf stability. Sawdust to prevent caking and an antibiotic. It’s these types of things that drive me to grow my own food.

Home canned chicken broth is AMAZING! I need to make more😭 You should try canning bbq chicken! It makes great, and super easy shredded chicken sandwichs! It pretty much becomes a heat and eat meal! No thawing or waiting for the slow cooker. It might not taste as good as slow cooker bbq chicken, but it's super convenient for a quick dinner!

You can just add the molasses right to the mixer bowl, no need to dirty an extra bowl to premix with the sugar, let your mixer do the work.
@itsbreellis
@itsbreellis Ай бұрын
🤣 why did I not think of that!!! Thank you for saying something! Lol

I think for demonstration purposes, it helps to mix in a separate bowl, letting your audience know that it can be stored as brown sugar without using it immediately.

I needed this inspo -- I have been in the garden for ~6 hours the last three days getting my peppers, bush beans, pole beans potatoes, squashes and pumpkins in the ground; I'm in zone 9/10 in Oakland Ca and things are popping! I saw my first teensy little tomato day before yesterday. Love garden season! Definitely need to prep meals bc actually eating is the last thing on my mind, haha.

Tangzhong is pronounced like you’re saying tong with a long a, and jong for Zhong, Zhong Is hard to say if you haven’t heard it before, it really sounds like Zjhong but I can’t really explain that sound in English. Anyway, these recipes I really loved, I haven’t been baking at home lately because I lost the energy and will power in my last few months of pregnancy but I can’t wait to start again in August.

If you have Pyrex dishes that are in lowercase letters, from what I understand those you cannot put in the oven. Pyrex licensed the lowercase spelling out. Which is made with cheaper glass. From what I understand anyway. The uppercase letter Pyrex is the oven safe one and better quality.
@Shovana92
@Shovana92 28 күн бұрын
Lowercase pyrex is usually fine in the oven. It's just not hot-to-cold safe because it's not borosilicate glass, so don't put cold water when hot or take it from the freezer into a hot oven. The temperature shock will break it. Capital PYREX can take it though.

I do the same thing with cookies! I often have several types of cookies in the freezer and I can bake up several types in one go. I am wondering if it's necessary to pre-mix the brown sugar. Couldn't you just put the sugar and molasses in separately and call it good?
