Paul Rust was 28 when he made the movie, a whole decade older than his character Denis. In fact, Hayden Panettiere was the only actual teenager in the cast, and in the teen photos shown during the credits, is the only one who looks the same age as in the film.
@superkamiguru46152 жыл бұрын
I just noticed…Hollywood tends to film these types of movies 1 of 2 ways: hire an older male actor to play the protagonist & teenage actress to play the LI. OR the male protagonist is portrayed as a minor paired with a much older actress 🤔😀 why can’t they ever just cast appropriately aged actors for their parts?
@kristiriley2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, this is extremely weird, & kinda gross. But if I had to guess. It probably has to do with insurance issues & having a bunch of minors on a set, making sure they recieve the appropriate amount of breaks allotted. So to cut time & save money, on that I'm sure, they hire young looking adults, who could pass for teens. They can work straight through any & all breaks if they want. Most of the time you can tell, though. Like Jaime always does... calling it out every single time. "Look at this 47 yr old man, playing a 17 yr old teenage boy!" Lol! 😆 Edit: I forgot to mention that, I also think they should be hiring actors the same age to work together on sets. They need to stop all that older & younger business. It's disgusting. & can be dangerous.

Well that sucks that you had cancer, but very happy you got through it. I am new to your channel and you’ve gotten me through many hours at work already. I appreciate what a kind and thoughtful person you are and love that in a world of people wanting to be as offensive and edgy as possible for the sake of ratings, your content is super approachable, funny, and appropriate for everyone of all ages.

Anyone noticed how at 14:00, the thorn thistles are poking the wrong way out of his skin 🤣 the pointy side is facing outward, when in reality they should be poking him. Not surprised that makeup failed on this movie considering all the other fails.

I actually laughed out loud at the Christopher Columbus joke 😆😆

I don't know that I've ever commented, but I want you to know how much I look forward to your videos! I have 3 small children (one being a newborn) and they have been passing around different sicknesses for MONTHS now 😵💫 You brighten my long days/nights and give me some much needed laugh breaks. Keep being you!

I have haven't seen it but my mouth dropped when you said Chris Columbus made this! How the hell could the director of Home Alone, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Harry Potter make something so atrocious! Like yeah directors make flops but damn!

I made it 10 minutes into this movie back in the day before giving up. I am now so glad I trusted my instincts and didn't watch further.

I had no idea Octavia from the 100 was in this either!! She is so amazing from the girl under the floor to bloodreina to aunty O. Love that you love her :)

Oh em gee. I cannot believe you describe that one guy as the one guy from The Happening and not who he really is, that one guy from Ferris Beuller’s Day Off! Cameron!!!

I know this is irrelevant but can I just say how much I love Jaime and Nick's relationship? I love their love for each other, it's so beautiful. You can totally tell they're dotty about each other and it's just wonderful 🥰

"Jack Harlow" 😭😭😭 So random yet so perfect. The unexpected is absolutely the best. ... except when it's your cringy fb post from 2007 popping up on your news feed in memories and prompting you to recall any and all cringy fb posts from the past. (Takes deep breath) I love you, Jaime French

I'm super surprised Jamie didn't say anything about how tf Hayden took off her grad gown. Wtf?! That is not normal.
@glowrillaz2 жыл бұрын
Took me off guard too, but my guess is that she said something but decided to cut it off OR she has been watching way too many weird bad movies at this point and nothing seemed too surprising lol.

How is that not normal especially in the 90s everyone was ready to be grown not stay in those gowns😅😅😅😅😅 take a couple pictures and rip that thing off and go to the parties

I love the way you read the reviews! “Its to serious” This is one of my fav movie reviews you’ve done. I was crying laughing through most of it. Chris Evans popping in “there’s a hole in the side of your house” I had to pause cuz that movie is such a trigger of cry laughing for me. I have never seen the “ I hate Dennis, Dennis is this” clip I’m gonna use that kids phrase/gesture for the rest of my life I wish I could give him money cuz it’s so good.

Alan Ruck (aka Cameron from Ferris Bueller's Day Off) making it around to being a dad in a teen movie who isn't mad when a car goes through the house seems like life coming full circle.

Thank god you started this video the way you did because I do try to go in every day (and realistically it’s every day for 3 days and then I forget for a month) so I can delete those ancient posts. I needed the reminder! I have slowly managed to get to the point that Facebook only jumpscares me with cringe once a year or so
