The X-men cameo is even more amazing when you realize what the other implications are. I imagine the entire school is in something like a "Red Alert" when they brought Deadpool there. Students hide, staff all huddle in a corner so they don't have to even interact with him, and the toughest/most indestructible of the group (Colossus) was picked to deal with him. Negasonic is probably one of the only trainees not afraid to deal with him. Keep in mind, all these precautions were done when he was brought there IN PIECES!

One of the things about Deadpool is that he actually knows he’s in the MCU. In the comics, he knows he’s in a comic book. Everybody else mostly ignores the comments because they know he’s nuts. In the comics, at one point Domino says that talking to Deadpool is like talking to someone who’s being attacked by bees. And it’s very accurate.

Gun's power selector that Cable used was between 1-11. A genius Spinal Tap reference. Whole movie can be rewatched repeatedly and discover new things. I can't wait for 3rd.

How would you go about that? Genuinely curious. Unless one goes with a "protagonist loses superpowers" kinda plot, I'm not sure her powers create a lot of suspense for a full length movie? I think it might end up feeling like watching a Rube Goldberg machine - satisfying and funny, yes, but in the end kinda pointless, even contrived? I'm probably overthinking it, but I definitely am trying to imagine how one could pull that off.

I just noticed at the end when Deadpool "dies" and cross the barrier to join Vanessa, the music playing Is "Take on me" by a-ha. In the music video of that song is a woman entering a comicbook and at the end after she escape the comic, and the man break out to join her.

Finally, a reviewer that understood him hugging bro at the start. It's a red herring that the movie will be about him tracking down Sergei but he does it immediately, so he hugs dude and waltzes them into traffic because he's already completed his mission and has nothing else.

“Don’t Bambi her!” Actually, it’s known as “fridging.” It’s a trope in which the female character is killed off. The term was coined by comic book fan (and later writer) Gail Simone in 1999, named after an incident in Green Lantern vol. 3 #54 (1994), written by Ron Marz. The story include a scene in which the title hero, Kyle Rayner, comes home to his apartment to find that the villain Major Force had killed Rayner's girlfriend, Alexandra DeWitt, and stuffed her into a refrigerator.

I have a movie recommendation If you haven’t seen James Cameron’s The Abyss then you need to. It’s was made after The Terminator and before Titanic. It’s a well made and visually stunning film.

There is another version of this film you need to watch called Once Upon a Deadpool. During the Christmas season the movie was re-released in a PG-13 cut with many new scenes added yo replace the R-rated stuff removed. I won't say anything further so as not to spoil the surprises...

Also, I do not know it the version of the movie you saw had this, but some versions have him going back and trying to kill Hitler as a baby... The scene is on KZbin if you want to watch it...

Domino. Never ever thought they'd put my favorite Marvel hero in a movie. I mean there was Dark Angel which was a Domino knock off and I loved it, but to actually have Domino? Never thought it would happen. But if it was going to happen, it would happen with Deadpool. X-Force : )

If you had watched the Super Duper version, you would have seen one more cut scene in the credits of DP going back to a nursery where baby A. Hitler was at and you see him struggle with whether or not he should...you can guess the rest. Spoiler: he can't do it.

I think you pretty much summed it up. I thought the second was overall the better movie in terms of characters, script, pacing and story, but I found the humour to be borderline too much. It felt like they (kindof like the big MCU did at the time) cranked up whatever worked in Deadpool 1 to eleven and overdid it in the process. Still has some genuinely good jokes mind you, but a lot of it seemed forcefully rehashed (the babyleg scene in particular went on for much too long I think) and generally not every scene needs a throwaway reference, joke or punchline, it's exactly what has dragged down other big Marvel movies.

THANK YOU 😁 I think the reason Ryan Reynolds does such a great job putting Deadpool on screen, is because he 'gets' that the point of comics IS to leave you feeling better about yourself, the world, the future... that yes, there are bad guys, comic books only heighten all their flaws to MWAHAHAHAAa levels AND they can be fought. That it doesn't matter if you're a chonky boi from New Zealand, a cowardly bar owner, or a blind wise ass - we can all do better.

6:08 Ryan Reynolds was the one that actually realized the similarities. Barbara Streisand is Josh Brolin’s mother in law so they were having fun taking potshots at her. 7:59 the X-Men in the office was from “Dark Phoenix”. The director of “Dark Phoenix” recorded what David Leitch wanted and sent it to him to tie into this film. 9:12 that’s funny you say that cause Thanos is referenced later in the movie. 10:51 after hearing this speech I will never use a soap dispenser that Wade/Deadpool filled up. 33:51 it’s not out yet but from who’s in it you have to react to it when it’s out.

Only problem with this flick was I wanted since a kid a Cable or X Force movie. Don't get me wrong, the actors doing Cable n Domino were great, but they wouldn't work as a couple as in the comics.

"Dubstep's for pussies!" "You're so dark. Are you sure you're not from the DC Universe?" Some people say that this movie is better than the original. I'm not one of them. The trope of killing a love one of the main character to start the sequel in order to jumpstart a conflict or character arc, is dumb and takes away from the "happily ever after" ending of the last movie. I get that it was subverted and lampshaded, but I felt it side-lined Vanessa unnecessarily and taints the entire movie for me. In the comics, Vanessa is a mutant too. Fun Fact: The footage of the X-Men closing the door was shot on the set of X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019) and sent over to the Deadpool 2 (2018) crew. Family Affair Fact; The film takes many potshots at the Barbra Streisand film Yentl (1983). Streisand is Josh Brolin's stepmother in real life. Although this fact would have been a perfect subject for another meta-joke at Brolin's expense, the makers stated on the commentary track that they completely forgot to include it, wondering how that was overlooked. Cocaine Is A Hell Of A Drug Fact: Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) removed a floorboard in Blind Al's (Leslie Uggams) house to grab one of two bags of cocaine which is next to another "cure for blindness" bag. This is a reference to the first film in which Deadpool tells Blind Al he has hidden 116 kilos of cocaine somewhere in her house right next to the cure for blindness. Cameos Cameos Fact: Brad Pitt met with the director to discuss the part of Cable (Josh Brolin), but couldn't commit due to scheduling conflicts. However, Pitt does have a small cameo in this film. Ryan Reynolds was at a dinner party with Matt Damon, pitched him the toilet paper manifesto, and asked Damon if he wanted to play the part. Damon thought it was hilarious and agreed to the cameo.
