Hi, Al. I’m a veteran living with PTSD. Just wanted to let you know you-how watching you [help others] makes me feel like you’re doing GOD’s work! You are an amazing person. Living life day-by-day and thanking GOD for his mercy is what keeps me moving forward. GOD Bless you and your beautiful family!

How TF do you have ptsd? You were never in combat?
@candacebrandt82116 ай бұрын
You don’t have to be in combat to have PTSD. It isn’t something that just affects veterans. Why you pickin’ a fight?
I also see God's work being done through his hands. Not just by the work it's self. Being honest through his feelings. Like this video, it's OK to have a few off days. But don't give up, get up. It's alot harder when you don't have that buddy to drag you to a golf course or a spouse to rub your back and say don't worry babe I got this today. That's why God sends him, he rolls up and makes the difference in someone's life. We need more people like this.

Anxiety is a real thing. I [unknowingly] had it even before it was a "THING"...just thought thought I was weak. I refused to get on an antidepressant for years as my Dr recommended because I had never been depressed. But when he finally convinced me that would cure Anxiety- I discovered he was right.

@ellenadams5650 We need to value and care for a whole person including mental health. So many physical health problems can be attributed to issues like anxiety and depression. It's unfortunate that it's taken so long for the medical community and the world at large to acknowledge and help treat people.

Great Comment Frank - i once wrote down i see it as invisible for others to see, imagine being sat in a chair on a beach looking out to sea, and everyone is having fun around you BUT you can feel a Tsunami out to sea coming towards you that others cannot see THEN it hits you, crash's into you, But to others you are sat in your chair nothing happening, The Tsunami is crashing over you and around you moving past going inland and you have to stay strong 'Not Panicing' in the chair and you just have to be patient and 'WAIT' , then it all flows back to the sea and you are sat safe in the chair due to not having fell apart. i also wrote while in that chair/time deep in the depression at your lowest you can link in with The Inner Spirit/God and you can examine what is presented to you and you can work on it as it is something that is blocking your spiritual progress that time of depression can be where you find a pearl of wisdom in the darkness.... secret is do not panic..! Best Regards James

Candybell3214, I have had over 100 plus surgeries and procedures since birth. There is only one way to stop depression which is stop keeping God out of one’s life. If one asks God to help you by praying to God, by reading the greatest love letter to humanity the Sacred Scriptures the Holy Bible and ask God to forgive one of our sinfulness. I promise you that ones depression or any of problem God can and will fix if one Loves God as much as he loves us. You’re problem or illness my not go away but God will give one the tools to make you happy, joyful and at peace inside one’s soul, body and mind. Satan does want any of us to rely upon God for everlasting happiness, joy and peace. God loves us so much that he wants all of us to be in Heaven with him for all eternity. But if we follow the world and Satan our happiness, joy or peace will be very brief. If one forgoes the world and realize on God alone the joy, peace and happiness will shine upon us with God’s graces and blessings. Again, completes the Three Pillars the God asks us to do daily which are prayer, Penance by (obeying his 10 Commandments ) disobedience to God’s Word and will and study and know the Catholic Faith which is the only Universal Truth that Jesus Christ founded and set forth through his Apostles JohnTheBaptist.us

You sharing your raw feelings inspires me and I'm sure your entire audience! Your baby girl's safety must have had a lot to do with your feelings. Thank you for sharing your true grit, Al!

Love your work Al. ❤ I’m an EAP clinician and I see hundreds of people in the clinic with anxiety, including health anxiety. I’m so stoked for you that you’ve found a way through to do something about it. It’s so important to get your health checked out and attend to what is needed. Do everything you can to calm down your autonomic nervous system and set yourself up with a green prescription of good food, sleep, nutrition, exercise and someone to talk to everyday about how you’re feeling. It will help. You’ve got this Al, you’ll get through it. You’re already helping people by sharing your lived experiences about anxiety to inspire others to do something about their anxiety too. ❤

Thank you for sharing. Sometimes our guardians, guides and ministering angels give us many signs that we need a time out. I am curious about your age, as I believe 28 is the first year of true adult life, and ages 26-29 are the toughest self examination years. Also, you are obviously a very sensitive being and full of compassion for others; finding the compassion for ourselves, and self love is a lifetime work. When difficult thoughts take up too much time and FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real) decreases our sense of well being, keeping your hands busy is the wisest thing you can do. Games, puzzles, and I love watching Lego Masters. As you engage in a reset, I can see you fine tuning what is right for you, as an individual. Be well and have a prosperous and abundant 2024.

I have felt a lot of depression myself and one thing that encourages me is 2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient for you for my power is made perfect in weakness". I pray that you will allow God to replace your weaknesses with His strength and replace your fears with His peace that passes all understanding! I will lift you up in prayer! ❤

It takes a brave person to speak about how one is feeling, especially when you find yourself in a difficult position and going through a tough time so well done and feel privileged that you are willing to share this with us. Over the past few years, I have been through something similar and it's only in the past year or so that things have started to improve. Hats off to you for your desire and efforts to do something about it.

Al, I appreciate how much willpower it took for you to make this video, to share your struggles. So many of your viewers can certainly relate to what you are experiencing. When I went into that rabbit hole I almost didn't make it back. May I please share with you some instructions my doctor gave me. Simply when you notice your mind is dwelling on negative thoughts, immediately turn them around and recall something that made you laugh, that made you happy. During challenging moments, deep breathe and blow out slowly. Most importantly, hold your loved one close, they are hurting with you. We love you, Al. Take care and we'll see you soon.

So I’m unmedicated and struggling hard. The first time I tried the technique, it worked so well that I just cried a River… it has never failed. Even during catastrophic accidents. I'm 56 years old and I struggle with anxiety, depression and schizoeffective disorder most my life and I get what you are saying. I get to where I fear leaving the house and will isolate for months sometimes. I manage my symptoms with antidepressants and antipsychotics and have been doing well again for about a year. It's so important to keep busy and have things to do and look forward to, at least for me. I'm am happy you are doing better. Don't beat yourself up. Embrace your whole self as even our "faults" make us who we are. You are a positive, bright individual with a beautiful family. And I believe you are correct. These trials you are going through are for a reason and will make you a stronger, even more compassionate person. These videos you post explaining your situation can be great therapy too - not just for you but the people who watch them. I hope it helps and you continue doing your thing. Thanks for being you, bro! D 🎶

Two of my grandchildren have difficulty with the thought that their doctors visit may include needles. I have zero problems with them, I once had to have a skin cancer removed from my leg, the nurse was going to have me lie down, I told her no, I wanted to watch and the doctor said I could. Also no matter how gross something looked or smelled I didn’t gag. Well the no gag thing is gone. I can gag at almost everything now, but needles still don’t bother me, and I have a suggestion Al, I have seen you get stung by many bees, I’ve seen you pick up a snake….that is something I’ll never ever do in my lifetime, but as far as needles and bees, try and think to yourself that if you can handle a bee sting which is actually going to hurt really badly, that you can handle a small stick of a needle which will only last a very few seconds. I’m a diabetic, my doctor had me on Ozempic for awhile, I didn’t like the side effects and went off it pretty quickly, but I have to say that the needle on that syringe was the smallest I’ve ever seen and I didn’t see how there could possibly be a channel inside it to carry the medication, but there was. Too bad every needle isn’t that small. I’m guessing the needles diameter was a fourth the size of an eyelash! Doctors should start requesting those! All this being said, I’m glad to hear that you’re doing better, the family is doing good and your daughter is well! 🙏🏻

Taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of our bodies. Our brains never stop working even while our bodies get a rest at night. The dark cloud will lift with help. Some of our brains’ chemistry needs some help through medication to regulate our Dopamine and Serotonin. Hoping your daughter is fully recovered and healthy. Wishing you and your wife good health, peace and joy. Give yourself some grace and time. Lego is a great way to rest your mind from daily stress. ❤

One thing I noticed is that you do not have much fat on your body. One doctor that examined Bruce Lee, martial artist, said he died from lake of fat and too much exercise. Eat more butter and healthy fats and increase "complex" carbohydrates, as in broccoli, and other cruciferous vegetables. That is what my dietician says.

Hi Al, I'm Amanda. What I want to say is that you have blessed so many people with your giving and you have been a bright spot in a lot of lives. Your actions are not just noticed in the physical but also spiritually. When you do good and cause others to do good that's when the dark forces of evil try to take you off of your game. If you know Jesus, remember to invoke his name and rebuke the anxiety. Matthew 6:25-33; Luke 12:22-31

Al, please ignore the negative comments. They don’t know you. Anxiety and depression are real. It’s NOT “all in your head.” I used to think that until I went through it myself and realized I could not control it myself. I lost my husband of 52 years last year and didn’t realize I was going through depression until I was going day after day, not getting out of my chair and letting my housework go. I went to my doctor and got on a good antidepressant. I’ve been worried about you and have prayed for you and your family. Good to see you back..

When I was in my 20s, I suffered severely with anxiety and panic attacks. I suffered for about 8 years and had gotten so bad that just leaving the house to go to work was a struggle. What you are describing about being stuck in your head describes it perfectly. It’s good that you finally saw a doctor and I hope he did a cardiac work up too to rule out anything abnormal. Once you have a clean bill of health, hopefully the anxiety will resolve. If it continues, please seek out a counselor/therapist who specializes in anxiety/panic disorder. It only took me a few visits with him to learn effective ways to manage my anxiety and my panic attacks became a thing of the past. Please don’t make the same mistake I did and wait years to get help. I will keep you in my prayers 🙏
