when i first started watching this series, i accidently got off track on the 4th episode of it. let me tell you how i began watching, though: a cold Jan day sweeps in, and im all cozy on my bed. my mom makes coffee, and i get myself a cup. sit down, cozy-back-up, and see a new series - subnautica. i've been long-awaiting this day! i leap right into it, and im greeted by my favorite cherries soothing context. ah, yes, this is going to be a great day. i continue watching, as i've never played subnautica, but i heard great things! the fish, the atmosphere, its all so mesmerizing, so relaxed. merg has his moments, his dumbfounded ones, his scared ones, and his fascinated ones. he doesn't put gameplay first, he explores and is in awe, and i love this! this was a day to remember. now that it has had its end, i come back to binge watch it again. i accidently stopped at episode 4, and im back again. good fishing, good hunt, and good spelunking-while-looking-for-something-to-kill-you. thanks merg, for this great series!

Here’s a bunch of tips: - cooked food gets old really fast, so only cook it when you want to eat it. Cured food never gets old though. - you get lead, silver and gold from sandstone outcrops, which is found the easiest from the kelp forest, which is the green biome with vines. - you get salt from the kelp forest and grassy Plateaus, which is a clear biome with red grass on the bottom. - You need a seaglide, which makes you swim alot faster. It needs to be scanned though. You can find scannable fragments from the starting area from metal boxes like the one in 37:27. - check the radio often. It gives you useful signals which contain useful stuff/fragments. - There is an ending. Often you feel stuck and feeling there’s not much more to go, but there’s always a way. - nothing ever despawns, nothing ever respawns. If you drop an item on the ground, it’ll remain there until you pick it up. Similarly if you pick something up, it’ll never come back. That basically means that all resources are finite. You shouldn’t worry though, since there’s plenty of resources everywhere - a medkit heals exactly 50hp
