Hello! At 4:45 do I have to chain three again or do I just start double crocheting?
@mainmadecrochet3 жыл бұрын
Yes! Thank you for pointing that out, although if you did not increase it would not make a major difference! To correct it if you forgot to chain you can insert an increase in that same row

I have another question lol. When I change colour in the middle of the row, do I cut off the previous colour of yarn I was using and weave in the ends or do I keep it? Cause when I keep it and I have to use the yarn again on the other side I have to bring the yarn all the way across my totoro and it looks very messy.

it does not count as a stitch! ☺️
@Nadina. Жыл бұрын
@@mainmadecrochet Thank you x Do you have a video of the beginning like with the yellow yarn? I am not sure in what stitch i have to go after the CH3 (at 3:10 of the video) it is not clear to me. @TamHoang-we6gz3 жыл бұрын
I crochet 4 dc and 1 dec and 4 dc and 1 dec ..... to the end but total 59 st
@mainmadecrochet3 жыл бұрын
@@TamHoang-we6gz Hi! Thank you for your question! ☺️ So round 22 should decrease 14 stitches in total. If you decrease in every 5th stitch the math is as follows: 70/5 = 14 70-14= 56 sts Two things could be happening: you’re decreasing in the 6th stitch sometimes by mistake giving you 59 stitches 70/6≈11 70-11= 59sts OR Maybe you have more than 70sts in round 21 Here is the formula in words Total stitches/decrease stitch = how many decreases in total for the round Please let me know if this helped!
@ecktorbarrientos58172 жыл бұрын
@@mainmadecrochet in order to get to 56 stitches wouldn't it be 3DC and a DEC? you want to end the pattern on the 5th stitch instead of 6th. 4DC and a DEC gives you 59 stitches
@whenyouwishuponastar2420 Жыл бұрын
@@ecktorbarrientos5817 I’m having the same problem. you’re right. when you do 4dc and decrease, you use 6 stitches in total, because decrease needs 2 stitches. So the right way to do is 3dc and decrease

Can I know the yarn size and the needle size? And how much gram did you have to used?
@nanettolivo40722 жыл бұрын
Hey she used a bernat blanket yarn. You will need 2 balls of the grey which it’s 600 grams and 1 1/2 of the cream which it’s about 300 - 450 grams of the cream. The hook size that she used was a 6mm hook but it’s up to you really because you can use a bigger size if it more comfortable to you. I was looking for a tutorial on a totoro and I came across this one and I like how she explains everything and I love it 🥰 I know that my client will be thrilled when she sees it. Hope that the information was clear to you. Have a great crocheting 🧶 time with Totoro. Mainmadecrochet thank you very much for this tutorial it’s a blessing really specially because I have a client that ask me for one Totoro and to be honest I have never heard about it and I said to my self well Nana just go to KZbin and the second video was yours and that’s it I didn’t look forward and I saved yours because I’m gonna surprised her with this since it’s a pillow size. I know she’s expecting a small one but hey the bigger the better and since she wants her for her daughter I didn’t care making it this big. I love going the extra mile to have a happy client and see them with a huge smile in their face. GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS!!!! Keep it up 👍🏼 I will watch definitely watch your other tutorials!
