Young lady, I believe that belonging is a basic need of human nature. There are two kinds of belonging, one is possessive, where others are controlling, jealousy, envy and unacceptance of our differences controls and takes away our freedom and happiness. Then there is the belonging that we all want, where we find acceptance, happiness, and freedom in spite of our differences, and we are allowed to be me without being censored. Hi Lyss, I'm a retired Navy psychiatrist and in my more than 35 years of seeing literally tens of thousands of patients I can say that there are substantially more nice to very nice souls in the world. Unfortunately there are categorically many forms of unresolved anger and hate in a significantly smaller number of people. These individuals will pop up time to time and a much smaller number of 'stickier' individuals are like angry hornets. Eventually the law or the medical field will deal with them. For now just know that you have a tight knit group of in person and online supporters for you to focus on. Just imagine that nasty person being in your rear view mirror getting smaller and smaller and then poof, they will move onto other people to try and infect with their hate. Your artful and openly gifted soul is like a constantly flowing artwork that is brightening the lives of your dedicated followers. Stay the course and you will find that place to call your own home.

I battle Depression, so I get those not belonging feelings a lot as well. Some isolation is great for self-discovery and reflection. Too much isolation breeds loneliness and negative thoughts. If I was you, I would get out of the desert for awhile and spend some time in the company of friends and do things with them. It's good for you, and Rio as well. Your childhood was very similar to mine. I was moved around and never had stability. Now, I create stability for myself.

I don't normally leave comments, but after stumbling across your channel today I am left feeling a need to share something I have learned living off grid myself. I was fortunate enough to find out in my first year dropping off grid about volunteering as a camp host in our national forests. Doing so leaves the ability to stay out in nature without having to continue to move every 14 days. Being a volunteer gave me the ability to save for land instead of dumping all my spare funds into the fuel tank to move again and again. 3 years later thanks to volunteering and being able to save more, I am now the owner of my own land. Along with that I also met the right people and found myself no longer as a volunteer, but as a seasonal fire lookout actually making money to live in the woods for 4-5 months out of the year. Follow your dreams and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If you really set your mind to it, anything is possible.

I stumbled upon your vlog a few days ago and was immediately “addicted”, and ended up binge watching the whole series. Your positive attitude and energy is inspiring. Not many people can be depressed and still decide that this is a good thing because it gives you an opportunity to learn more about yourself and to grow. Your story telling is refreshing, keeping it real and open - including enough of your feelings and thoughts that we can almost feel like we are there with you. I was already planning on doing something similar - but your tales from the road will surely inspire many more to take the leap, follow their heart, let go, and be free. I'm sure after so many months or even years of traveling on the road even though it's exciting I see alot of Van lifers, RV ers, Bus lifers eventually after a while wanting a piece of land to stay stationary for a while or even building a home on it. I'm a gypsy and only recently became resident. but the road calls, and there something in the wind calling and telling me it's time to break camp. That weariness you describe I think I know what it is, it usually comes when traveling to fast for to long. You know we gypsies set camp with regular intervals just because of that weariness, we call it way weary. And when we make camp we let our roots drink water and taste the land. And one day there is something in the wind that calls us, we all feel it, and we all break camp pack up and leave. That is the most amazing feeling in the world, alittle sad yet free the feeling like parting with a friend yet finding new ones, new adventures ahead, the curiousity over whats miracles awaits after the next stretch of road. That just goes to show you the short comings of others and they can't handle other people's happiness. You are a warrior to be able to do what you do. I'm on my way to doing the same thing but in a business aspect. I'll be towing RVs for the rest of my life. I'm done with rat race and need the road to destress and reset my out look. I follow you nomads to the ends of the earth and the more I watch the more the obsession becomes. I have family but they live states away from me and I never get to see them. My parents live across the ocean in south east Asia so I never get to see them (20 years) . I do talk to them from time to time but it is never the same. It's time to hit the road.

Hi Regretlyss, if you are in the NE Utah, NW Colorado area you should check out Sand Wash Basin BLM. There are hundreds (or was) wild mustangs there. Also in the area is the North End of Dinosaur National Monument, Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge ( free camping on the Green River) Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area and tons of public land for dispersed camping.

TBH i don't know why I even watch your videos - I have no desire to live the way you do. I am living overseas, finally have a little baby who I can't get enough of and a husband I wouldn't trade the world for and they are my home. Yet your work is so inspiring! The camerawork is beautifully done, the narraration is creative and poetic and for me, nostalgic of a time in my life when I was also searching. It was nearly unbearable then and now, from my happy perch, I look back lovingly on those moments because they led me here. So anyway thanks for the beautiful artistic work you put into these videos! Reading about the absolute majesty of Jesus life in The Bible which is God speaking to us through his prophets has truly brought me back into His Church. Beautifully said, Chris. It is a sad reality that people born to hate and who live in hate are too often caught up in hate. I hope and pray that as Lyss's channel grows and more and more people witness her dance through life, more people will come to understand how precious their own lives are and just as Lyss shares her beautiful gift, they too will share their beautiful gift. The Biggest problem with the Internet is "Anonymity" People say horrible things because they think it is funny and no one will know who it is..... They are stupid and not worth spending any time on..... You are an Intelligent, Talented and if I might say a very Beautiful young Lady.... You are in the Universally desirable position of being able to go wherever you want and whenever you want to go there.... The World is yours..... But we are social creatures and spending long periods alone is probably not the best.. we need Human interaction.... I find that sometimes the journey is better than the destination. The destination is over in a blink of an eye, yet the journey is full of experiences. The preparing, the building, the learning, the experience it's as important as the destination. It molds you for the moment. On a side note you should get a dji drone, add even more breathtaking scenery to your videos. Love your stuff and i hope you keep making videos. I can't got go to the places your at, but i can experience them through your eyes from your videos.
