I have a Peugeot 2008. I am not a fan of the shape of the 3008. However this is my second Peugeot after going back and forward between car brands I have gone back to Peugeot. I have always heard bad things about them however people always slate them but they are actually very reliable and well built cars. I’ve had 2 now and I can honestly say it’s the best car I have had. Bigger than expected, lots of space and amazing engines too and not to mention they are very nippy. I’ve had both the 1.2 puretech engine and I now have the diesel. However Just like any car keep on top of services, look after it and change the cambelt regular as you said it will last forever!

Think you get good and bad cars, whichever brand you have. I have a Toyota Aygo, cheap as chips, or so you would think. It's just failed it's test on a sub frame, only the third one that the garage has seen. I agree, I'm not a fan of the 3008 shape either, but my dad has one and says it's the best car he's owned.

My wife has owned one of these for around 5 years, Purchased it through my work. t's the 1.6HDI (pre Adblue system). Decent engine and we love it, very practical for our young family, excellent driving position, like you mentioned. The 1.2i engines are ok, early wetbelt, cambelt changes every 6 years are required as they can break up and reek havoc. Keep up the great work, I'm really enjoying your videos. The only quote I got was for £1400 to change it with other add-ins such as crank seals, new oil filter etc. decided it was time for a car change.

C1 looks great. High Peak rates the 3008. I had considered one - they did a diesel hybrid 4x4 which is a rare combination but apparently the battery pack is old school Nickel Cadmium so I don't know how well they last and the cabin looks a bit cramped with that high centre console. HUD Heads Up Display. GT Radials part of GiTi Tire - long established OE supplier so not too bad.

They are good cars and the diesels are even better, 50 plus mpg no trouble. Glass roof is a pain when it’s sunny as the car gets too hot. Had one from new 65 plate. No never a seven seater, the 5008 does that. Now if you think that’s good, try the model that replaced it, had one of them from new too 68 plate with the 8 speed auto electronics gearbox. Have you discovered the front passenger seat will fold flat yet? It means you can put long stuff from boot to glovebox. As for the oil it’s imperative to only use the Peugeot approved oil, it’s like water, or you will get trouble. You have this I hate French cars thing and 1.2 engines are too small or the 1.5 diesel.
