I have always loved this song. I know it's from Jesus Christ Superstar and it's about Mary Madeline's love for Jesus. I feel this song resonates with everyone at some point in time. For me it's like I love this man but what if I let my feelings show? Such a scary concept. Sometimes it's easier not knowing than knowing if that special person loves you back . And for some stranger reason which I can't understand sometimes it's scarier thinking what if he does love me. Where do you go from there if he loves you back then you have to risk love and life. Not always an easy thing to do. Risking being hurt and letting someone know the real you; deep down inside.

Bernadette, I understand exactly what you mean, but I got lucky and started a friendship with a guy and over time as we became comfortable and "safe" telling each other things, we really found that we could bare our souls. In May, we will celebrate 33 years of marriage. One tiny thing, I think you meant Mary Magdalene, but your comment explained it so well.
