While I generally agree with that sentiment I traded mine in because it was just getting ridiculous. The last couple months I was at over $1000/m just in fuel. I've had other gas guzzlers before, but the TRX is on another level. Plus side I sold it for more than I paid.

The fact is it was virtually bulletproof in a first-year truck and it was early production. I'm an advisor at a dealer and I can tell you we don't have that luxury.. and don't kid yourself a raptor is a lot slower and a lot less livable and has a lot less presence and shock value and cost the same. Don't let the 77k scare you most raptors are in the same range of price.. and the bonus is your truck doesn't have to sound like your wife's Taurus station wagon

I hate to see it go. It has been my favorite vehicle to watch. So many cool things you've done with it. Off road, towing, time trials, but my favorites were the drag races at the short track. Something about how quick that thing got up to speed and how you'd have to shut it down quick to keep from running off the track. So much fun to watch. As far as views, has this been one of your biggest hits? Did it exceed your expectations as far as views? Just curious. Thanks for getting it and doing so much with it.

I bet the appreciation in value more than offsets the fuel costs. Excluding the fact that such a truck is unaffordable to most, it's hard to argue it's a great value. The caveat is that this wouldn't be the case under "normal" market conditions.

Sad day, this could have been the best truck for you guys, however I think the best, or most iconic to me was your 1st gen Raptor. You put a winch on it, you featured it as the camera vehicle in almost every video, certainly Ike's and compared everything off road to it. It helps that you had that truck for about 3-4 years. So for fans that have been following you that long, it has to be that Raptor, but the TRX could have been if you kept it longer, added a winch, did even .ore crazy stuff with it.

This is an AWESOME 700+ HP beast of a truck that you can just thrash around in! Sure, it's expensive but you're putting more horsepower in a utility-based truck you can cruise turf over! I say it's a better usage of that Hemi engine than in a Hellcat Challenger or Charger, since it's the same engine but in a truck. If you're going to own one of these, you better take very good care of it....

Yup you said Andre. You have to PAY 💰 to play. Fuel right now with 91 octane in southern Ontario Canada is hanging around $2.50 a litre Canadian. To fill up that toy will cost you about $240 per tank per five days🤯

found 8 used trx used in my area best used price was 85900. found 3 new trx 2022 , best new price 77524 dollar i think they need to take the 85000 offer from the dealer if you are getting ripped off in your area , expand you search or charge you zip code look around and don't let people rip you off

Had it for a year and never took it took it to the open desert for its "designed" purpose. Would of loved to see it in the dunes. Also saying no issues always cracks me up they say it about every "long term" review. 15k miles it better not have any issues. TFL is my favorite truck review you tube channel but some of tests they do are goofy or not practical. But it does let you know all information you need to know most the time

It's a very cool truck, but i think as a daily driver it might be difficult depending on where you live, this would be cool as a second vehicle for off roading, towing your boat, snow mobile, atvs, etc and having fun with it. i would rather have a car for daily driving, and something like this to play with.

It's just annoying since most fuel pumps shut off once a certain dollar amount is reached; $75.00 or $100.00 usually. So for this 33-gallon tank, filling just half of it with Premium will hit that limit (@ >$5 per gallon). Not a deal-breaker but it's like a hassle/penalty for just driving the thing.

Just wondered how well the TRX would do with street tires? I wondered how much those tires reduce the 0-60 time and mpg. If it had some street tires it would it be like the old school SRT-10 or the original Ford lightning. I can’t imagine how much faster it would be. You guys should try it before selling.

I think the Rivian has 850 hp & 950 ft lbs of torque, approx, it should be faster. Lets talk about towing up the Ike Gauntlet. lolo

@@keither7731 LOL, right! That R1T has instant torque from 0rpm. And yes, that Ike Gaunlet was not fun in terms of range. White knuckling and worrying on range loss is not something that induces confidence in towing.

Good question, as I don't recall seeing it take on any courses at the ranch either. Let's hope before they sell it, they do take it on every ranch course it could fit down, as that would be a cool thing to see and a good note to end the TRX videos once and for all.

The TRX did have issues with the power train in one of their drag races which was recorded, though it seemed to resolve itself. Good thing about AWD is the differential probably won't explode like Demons/Hellcats... Probably...

I have a Rebel and wanted this but can’t get off the lot for under $100k and 10 mph premium only is a deal breaker. I’ll take the Rivian R1S for $78k (86 in my driveway) and sleep like a baby.

What I think is very impressive is: 1) I believe you were the first in America to receive a Ram 1500 TRX. 2) I am amazed that since you received one of the very first produced, you have not had issues except one blip that immediately corrected itself!! 3) You have had some excellent luck with your Ram long term vehicles and, even when the Rebel had a wheel stuffed off-road snapping a significant piece in 2, Ram warranted your only issue I have seen over the past 5 years with Dodge/Ram trucks. That damage could have been quickly blamed on the driver, not unlike Toyota did to me with a later diagnosed issue that was found AFTER the truck stranded me 2 more time and I sold it on to a technician at a price not typical of Tundra resale prices, driven down by a “FACTORY” mess up!! (Wiring harness damaged during the build process,,,,. Not a fan of Toyota since. NEVER been a Dodge/Ram truck fan ever, but maybe I should reconsider. 4) this truck is ever so slightly better than a Raptor in the boulders consistently. (It still has too much weight to do better in high speed off-road play. Still is very impressive though). The towing was what should be expected, no surprise. 5) acceleration!!!! I did not want to like this truck, especially after how seriously another example was destroyed making a similar jump to what a Raptor had done 4 times before only breaking a bed bolt. StreetSpeed, is a bit of an annoying guy anyways,,,,,,. I DO LIKE this truck!! I will never own one. I may get a Raptor R (entirely as a personal bias, full disclosure) in the future,,,,. We will see. My personal physical restraints mean I can’t play to the limit in either truck anymore. No matter what, Ram has definitely shown they can build the fastest “super truck” out there!! Well done Ram! Thanks for all the content TFL,,,, this has to be one of your most, if not thee most, successful, and with the sale, PROFITABLE, vehicles owned so far!!

You do know street speed hit that jump at 60mph with the TRX where the Raptor hit 30mph street speed def overjumped and a Raptor wouldn't even survive that jump look what happened to the Raptor at half the speed these are Baja trucks but you can do highway speeds and expect a truck to survive without a landing ramp

@@dor1tomcswagger69 I watched them and there was a difference in speed. It was never determined how fast he was going, but fast enough to definitely overshoot the ramp. Regardless the TRX is very noseheavy and would have landed similarly. This has shown when the truck goes over lesser jumps. I stated that added to my bias. I have had 2 Raptors now, both SuperCabs, a 2012 6.2 and a 2019, and have jumped them repeatedly, some wayy too far than I should have, but never wound up in a nose down position, nor have I caused damage by jumping them. They have bottomed out, the 2012 more so than the 2019. Now if only the few rocks I slid off were quite so nice to the bodywork.

I know I have jumped the distances he had and did so with my 6.2 litre 2012 Raptor SuperCab and my 2019 SuperCab. At this point I’m repeating myself go back and read just a little closer and with a little more objectivity. I didn’t say it to cut down the TRX, but I may stop having anything great to say about biased TRX fans. Bye.
