Frank, your a trooper doing that by yourself. I was about to say I can't believe you were able to put those suits On and off yourself...but glad you were able to get some help. Thank you for the great video and transparency on the pros and cons of traveling to cons...no pun intended.

Hey Frank. Do you have any suggestiojs/tips on completely stripping paint from a 3D print? I have a pretty large and expensive resin print which has a bit too much paint covering it, obscuring some details. I wanna restore those details by getting rid of this excess paint.

Emergency Repair :) I actually designed a kit for exactly that after talking with the cosplay repair peeps many times at my local cons. I designed a kit that fits in an altoid tin (I then made a bunch RIGHT before the pandemic and all the cons shutting down for a year or two). I still have.... 70ish left I think that I just put on my Etsy. Completely not helpful for armor repairs, just general cosplay repair. But I did like hearing emergency repair kit for cosplay :D Edit: Also separately I've thought a few times about making a wrist gauntlet for putting my phone in like the MKIII rocket launcher a few times. You could probably go a step further by adding a flip up so you can do wrist selfies and there are Bluetooth buttons that you could use (or if you have an android, double tap the power button to go auto into picture mode followed by a press of the volume to take the picture, timed of course after flipping it up to in frame)

The one thing about being an handler is that unless you have something planned out for that weekend or day, you are being somewhat of a bodyguard of sorts. I don't have experience in being a handler. I can only imagine what they do during con events. I once saw a person who actually wore the very first Mobile Suit Gundam suit on and he had a handler with him. Unless, you have an incentive for a person to be a handler that's not your circle of friends, you are going to have a tough time. I wonder if there's a way to use a bluetooth device to issue a voice command to actually take selfies or video recordings though an app?

Definitely useful, thanks Frank! The logistics on either end of the floor. When you had to drive to the convention center, did you just use other people's hotel rooms to suit up? Or is there usually a staging area that could be used?

This was pretty nice to see and learn since I haven't moved 3d printed props to far away cons. I just have a question though: this time weather was "ok" fir the PLA, but how do you deal with hot weather so it doesn't deform? (I had a sword I printed just a little bit outside and after I went to get it some parts had dips because it deformed due to the heat/sun, so I tend to prefer printing in abs but I've been printing some props in pla lately because I haven't enclosed my new corexy)
