You should do the same thing but with your dad. It would be more challenging as he probably eats more and differently than you

GOD SAKE! LET THE GIRL HAVE FUN WITH FOOD! If I see one more comment telling her that her weight is unacceptable, I'm gonna lose my mind. If anyone knows anything about anorexia it's more a mental challenge with a physical side effect. She's gaining a good relationship with food. That's the biggest thing, and she's doing it. Can we celebrate that instead of being a broken record telling her what she's doing isn't good enough. God give me patience... She is so damn strong. Her body image is how this whole thing started and you'd think people would be more considerate and kind, but all of you are literally screaming at her telling her that she's not good enough; or her weight isn't good enough.

I had toast, pancakes and pizza today!!! I can see why you get so happy after eating it now. I used to cry and freak out when I had to eat anything but I smiled and laughed while I ate today. I now know why you get excited for the next meal when you've done good with the last one. And it was three fear foods. Your so amazing for finding the courage to when you did

I can’t help but notice that everyone always finishes their food 2x as fast as you. Like while your half way through ur first everyone else is on their 3rd. Try not to prolong your meals and fixate on them. It’s ok to take bigger bites... it’s actually normal! I’m not hating I just think it’s an ED habit that you need to break to fully recover😊 these challenges are great and I would be terrified to do so but you’ve come so far you just need to push yourself a little more. Your doing amazing but your mom isn’t trying to gain weight and you are.❤️

I totally hear and agree with those saying “eat more than your mum” but I think part of this is developing a healthier more care-free relationship with food and trying more things. But I agree maybe same foods but larger amounts. You seem to be doing well though! Get it gurl. Also the ripeness of your banana was perfect. *slightly* more yellow is good too but NO spots :)

I love how your personality is shining through more and more! and YOU ARE INCREDIBLY STRONG! a few very kind suggestions, pls dont take it as hate: To gain weight maybe restart the whole-chocolate-bar-a-night-ritual and try liquid calories! maybe juice in the morning, chocolate milk with your cookies, lemonade with your dinner, a smoothie in between, ... AND YOU NEED A PO BOX, I HAVE THE BEST CHOCOLATE WAITING FOR YOU 🤗

Guys, leave her alone. The point of this type of video is to help her let go of control over food. You are not in charge of her recovery. You do not need to tell at her and tell her what to eat.

@@raspberrydream7329 Are you a doctor tho? It's odd to give medical advice to someone if you have no medical background even if they post it on the internet.. You are free to suggest she discuss the amount of food she's eating with her doctor but for people to full out tell her she's not eating enough.. is unsolicited medical advice and could actually be harmful to her recovery. Also, I'm pretty sure she's sharing so others dealing with EDs know they are not alone.. likely not for the purpose of seeking getting advice from others.

You people really don't understand nothing I think.. She is eating and it's an hard work for her. Meaby she is not pushing every day at her maximum but she is still eating! This is the only important thing to do..In Italy we say that Rome wouldn't be build in one day! Things arrive step by step and at the end she will be completely healthy.. You'll see!! And she is having fun with food and with her mom. This is beautiful 😊💕
@Narangegirl
@Narangegirl 5 жыл бұрын
no. we do understand she's eating, because she has to, either way she's going to die. her metabolism increases for a short period of time on refeeding, thats why is very important for her to eat even more, because she's spending more energy getting that food as well at such low weight. it is very disordered of her part to spend (15~10) minutes talking about how "food is divine" and how she hasnt tried that food in years, smelling, etc, instead of actually eating and try to enjoy food. anorexics know their shit, and i do identify her food rituals. she hasnt gained anything at all, she lost weight, and thats why it is worrying.
@amberleigh1726

Kookie When I started recovery, mainly for me it was about baby steps. Slowly raising the bar. Before recovery i would eat 200 cals. a day. Meaning I did not have the stomach to just stuff myself full of 1200 cals a day. So i slowly raised it, 200 -> 800 -> 1000 -> 1200 -> 1400 and now sometimes i can hit 2000 calories a day ^_^ baby steps are important in recovery, everyone still has bad days. 1200 is my minimum a day, so even if i have bad days i atleast get that. But you cant just tell an anorexic to stuff themselves full of 2100+ calories. 💙 Hopefully this was an insight (Also gaining weight is very hard for an anorexic. Because most of the time your metabolism is shot and trying to repair. Even with me eating 1300 average a day, I have not been able to gain. I have gained about 5lbs in 6 months)
@rb6006
@rb6006 5 жыл бұрын
@@Narangegirl I'm not anorexic. Never be. But I'm not stupid. I can see she has trouble with food, I'm just saying that she can't recover all in one night. She went from 0 to 6 in almost an year..and she'll arrive to 10. I'm 100% sure. I can see the bright in her eyes.. She wants live. However negative vibes are bad, just be supportive or go away.
@amberleigh1726
@amberleigh1726 5 жыл бұрын
R B Another thing to point out, is the sad thing is. With anorexia, 1 bad day of fasting/not eating sets back your progress a week behind. Most anorexics slip up, or have bad days. But Elzani is telling herself "the food is divine" to try to convince herself that the food is not bad. That is not a bad thing, a good recovery mindset is great to have. Of course she has food rituals-every anorexic does. She will work on those with time, they do not just randomly go away. You have to rewire your anorexic brain with training. Like training a dog to sit or shake.

This is a fun idea but you should be eating at least double the portion sizes you ate. Remember that your mom is not dangerously underweight like you. You need so much more food than your family. You haven’t put on any weight Elzani. The longer you avoid the process the harder it will be.

Elzani my love this was a great challenge but you have HIGH ENERGY NEEDS. You are healing and gaining weight and therfor need to be eating way more than those around you. 1 slice of toast with scrambled egg is not enough for breakfast. Weight gain meal plans are normally cereal, milk, juice and 2 slices of toast with butter/spreads. PLEASE DO THIS BUT INFORM YOUR FAMILY. 3000+ is essential right now or you wont ever gain and recover.

there is no "after recovery" there is weight restored but ultimately for people with EDs this is life forever, with slightly less fixation on food, but it is a constant battle :(

Riase5 I’m sorry but that’s bullshit and very upsetting that you think like that. People can live a full life of recovery after this battle. It’s hard but it’s possible

@@rogat9775 recovery can last of course! but from my experience it's just varying degrees of recovered for the rest of your life

Riase5 well how old are you? I’m guessing you haven’t spent the majority of your life “recovered”. And if you’re saying you live recovered for the rest of your life.....then what’s your point? You just said you can never be recovered

@@rogat9775 my mum had an ED and her weight and thoughts fluxated through out life... I'm well into my adult life and I'm recovering and trying to keep it that way all. the. time. no matter how recovered you are, intrusive thoughts can come back about little things with food, about big things too. From my experience it's a mental illness that can be managed but not a phase in your past that can be eliminated.

Elzani! I’d love to see you do the “letting the person in front of me choose what I eat for 24hr” challenge!

Another food challenge idea: a race to see who can finish something first, like an ice cream because it’s cold or something

Caramelize sliced banana in butter and pour it over coconut ice cream ;) Peanut butter & banana sandwiches were my favourite thing as a kid!

I'm with you on not liking bananas. When I was young,elementary age, I had anxiety that manifested itself with digestive upset and not being able to eat...so my mom would try to get me to eat bananas because they are easy on the stomach. Now plain bananas remind me of being sick.
