I want to go to one because I want to compare it to the sheer force I felt when I went to a NASCAR race. The sound and the air was unlike anything I ever experienced. The sound was a physical force in and of itself. And the fact these drivers are nailing like 900+ turns with braking points, acceleration levels, apexes, and doing it all at speeds that bottom out at speeds like what people do on a highway... it's absolutely mindboggling.

When I went to Silverstone I had race commentary through a radio earpiece thing and a big screen in front. So I was just watching the race when there was nothing going on in front of me. It is noise and atmosphere make it fun. On top of the race you get to watch practice sessions, qualifying, and a bunch of support races. There is a ton of stuff going on around the track, including live music. It is a fun (but expensive) weekend.
@wars1ck

Most tracks have huge screens around the track, so you can watch that for any times cars aren't flying past you. The noise is unreal. It is very very busy though. Instead of 80k or so at a footie match its 300k.

Ah, yes, a proper sport where the stewards take ages to come to any sort of conclusion that still ends up being arbitrary in many cases and even when it's not, the time they take seems simply unecessarily obstructive because teams can't even react to a penalty the decision about which is postponed unitl after the race. Imagine that in football, disallowing a goal for as common a reason as offside or a foul hours after the game.

In GP2 as it was then he was second quickest in 05 pre season testing and was beaten out by Can Artam, whatever happened to him, so Artam/Speed got the numbers 1 and 2 for their team, and then proceeded to not dominate like people thought To be fair Speed went on to have.....a career in the US, yeah a career, let's just call it that and ...a career on iRacing as well that got brought to a dubious end.

You should have thrown the banana skin on the track, then you could have sent a weapon like in Mario Kart!

Some of this felt like someone had just reminded you how seriously these fans take the sport, and you just couldn't and asked the daft question anyway. Wonderful.

The Spanish GP at Barcelona is fairly easy to get to by public transport - catch a train from Barcelona Sants station and get off at Montmelo. Join the crowd in a walk to the track. I think I bought my tickets on-line and had them delivered to the UK. I think you may also buy them and pick them up at the track with some ID. After the race there can be a big crowd trying to get onto the returning trains but you get on eventually. Edited: Renault are actually in F1 at the moment via their subsidary Alpine - Renault supply the engine. Edited 2: If you want to experience a track with some crowd reaction try Monza (Italy), Zandvoort (The Netherlands) and maybe Mexico (not been there). I've been to tracks like Hockenheim (Germany) and Montreal (Canada) where the crowd have done a Mexican Wave.

In total F1 fans at the race watch about 53 seconds of it, as they drive past fans so fast they only see them for a second lol

Most corners now have a massive display screen so you can see everything happening,and as the cars spread out during the race you get to see something happening in front of your stand almost continuously
