I think i ran into this same guy in the duelist cup a couple days ago. He had synchro zone, majesty's fiend, messenger of peace, grave of the super ancient organism with no cards in hand for the runick fountain. I impermed the majesty's and used it with anguish to go into unchained abomination then popped synchro zone on end phase. He quit out when i popped his top decked skill drain on *his end phase. I feel like some players need to realize floodgates do not win the game on their own.

My room mate went 118 turns against stun the other day. He was on Rescue-Ace 40 cards vs Stun 60 cards. We decked him out. See i got my buddy on 2x Rescue field spell. It was a rank down match. So my buddy just kept using the field spell and recycling traps like contained and extinguished. 118 turns and he won by decking out a deck with 20 more cards lol

Back when I played yugioh, some of my favorite duels were the ones where both players would go back and forth taking control of the field. One of my most memorable games I loved I had Dark armed Dragon in hand from the beginning of the game. My opponent had removal cards. And we fought down to my last 3 cards in deck when I FINALLY got 3 dark monsters in grave.

This is crazy, thats me. I used this deck after my runick spright deck kept getting destroyed by combo decks so I used some cheap SR cards to build a stun variant after “one bad day”. Eventually I got tired of this style of play too since the duels took too long and many people had outs in the higher levels. So i switched to a snake eye runick variant and capped out the duelist cup 1st stage with that and got into master 5 on this alt account.

They are using a legal deck you can't report them they are still playing the game its not the game isn't progressing if it progressed without any clear way one can win and leads to forever drawing and putting cards back to hand then you might be able to you just sound salty. The only floodgates that should exist are archetype locked ones that are reliant on other cards to operate. Completely generic floodgates are the bane of the game. However, stuff like Necrovalley and Zombie World are kind of in this weird limbo position because they are generic floodgates but also specifically designed for an archetype (if we consider the zombie type as one big archetype).

They wouldn't be so widely used or burn decks for that matter if the meta decks weren't so op and people actually put thoughts into their decks instead of copying the same top build that is the true problem a deck that is so easily copied that can win every match except against itself.

Yesterday I played against a stun player that made me want to put my head through a brick wall. I'm on a 50 card traptrix/ragnaraika deck. They're playing 60 card stun. 3 different times over the course of 37 turns I managed to completely clear there board. Bye bye to all the flood gates. Every time they just set a whole new board of flood gates and I'm back where I started. They even started the game with a facedown that I kaijued.(Think it was a morphing jar.) I bricked for like 7 turns. Didn't draw a monster. They could've killed me with my own kaiju at any time. Like 4 times over. But no, they refused. They INSISTED on either decking me out, or being so god damn annoying that I surrendered. I played it out all the way to the last fucking card in my deck out of pure spite. If I have to suffer through this shit, then so do they.

I'd love them to implement open format, when a match is paired u have 10 seconds to check their deck and accept the duel. I don't think any stun or metal deck would be able to play the game anymore and stupid rogue decks would flourish as people would actually accept the duels. Well either that or have pairing be sorted into "average" card usage pairing first, the more meta cards the higher usage and the more often ur paired towards decks of similar usage. It would mean meta decks will never get to fight stun and rogue have to deal with stun but he we wouldn't mind quitting. Matchmaking by Rank > usage% average and every second it takes to find a match the usage pool increases in range until a match is found within the same rank. After 30 seconds it starts checking the ranks above and/or below although it should never get there.
