MT6753 is very surprise inclusion tbh. Although it's of course not a thing that you'd gonna put on phones today, but it was actually a chip that drives mainstream-level phones back in the day. I think it's quite better choice than MT6737 that is too overrated on knockoff phones nowadays, because MT6753 can actually drive multiple background tasks unlike the 6737 that barely does anything.

Ulefone is good, but the Ulefone Note 8P I had was WAAAAY bulkier than the pictures on Amazon lead me to believe. 35:45 I think I know what's going on with the video playback. It's probably doing the video decoding on CPU rather than GPU. A weak CPU can typically only handle HD playback of modern formats like H.265 and VP9 smoothly when there's not much going on in the scene - like the clip of the ants moving. But when there's more motion or panning - like the sloth and frog clips - the CPU can't keep up. I experienced this when I was experimenting with H.265 playback on a Raspberry Pi 3B that I was using as a home theatre PC a few years ago. In the case of the Pi 3B, I needed a beefy power supply and active cooling to get it to play better and longer without throwing warnings about power or temperature... and I ultimately got it working comfortably by reducing the encoding complexity of my videos by using X265's "--fast-decode" command. Now I'm using a Pi 4B as a home theatre PC - no issues there, since its GPU can do hardware decoding of H.265 even at 4k 60fps.
