We use all sorts of feeders for round bales and squares. They always find new ways to waste hay. The little sweet faces make you forgive them. That feeling of having the goat yard cleaned out can only be understood by those who love and keep hay wasters!😇

Been watching since I got my goats a few years back and have learned a lot from your channel. I built me one of the manger style feeders off the ground last year. It works pretty good but they do still waste some.

If you could find some shingles or roofing paper for the lids it would protect the plywood a little from weather, possibly block some of rain and emery board hooves. My goats don’t eat them so haven’t worried too much about the asphalt component.

Screw some heavy duty slick plastic to the lids, for quick cleaning & it will teach the goats to stay off. Just an idea 🙂

Trim the tree branches back a bit so they don't hang over the goat feeder. So you don't get a bunch of poop. Looking good

Dammit. They need to be tube fed. I'm tired of it. hahaha. I just looked at our winter stockpile. Winter just started. We're not going to make it through spring this year. Actually, we're not going to make it through the next weeks. I can't even see the straw we put down. It's all hay. GRRRRRRRRRRR.
