Tip for chainsmoker: It's the slowest entity in the game but barely fast enough so that you cant outrun it. Aditionally, the green smoke makes the player get kicked out of the locker much, MUCH quicker meaning that you have to hide VERY late (if you hide after your screen starts shaking you should be good unless it takes oike a weird path)

Good to see you starting to get the hang of everything! Everything gets pretty manageable once you know what everything does, here’s some advice though. The Angler’s are technically blind, and use their scream as echolocation to find prey, as long as you are far enough away from them, they cannot kill you, and if you are in their range, staying out of sight will work as well. Be wary that Pandemonium is not an Angler, (Pandemonium is the one that attacks your locker) Pandemonium has incredible eyesight and if you are in its line of sight at all, it will immediately begin pursuit, and it will never lose track of you once it has seen you, so unless you stay out of its sight, your only chance of survival is a locker.

Im very glad you also went through and read the documents on camera, fun to see your reactions! Also I’ll give a few tips, if you prefer to play more blind you can look away though - The Squiddles (the enemy in dark rooms) will mainly only hurt you if you shine light at them for too long. This is the main reason that flash beakons are good, as they will light up an entire dark room for a second and show you where Squiddles are without making them attack you. - You can not only see, but also HEAR the differences in the Angler types, they each have their own sound (so you can stop waiting so long on the normal ones and giving me a heart attack.) - The hitboxes for angler is actually fairly small, so if you’re ever in a room with a dead end hallway or rooms with side rooms you will be safe from anglers there (this won’t apply to pandemonium (the minigame one) since it can see you from any distance. - Any loose assets you get in a run also contribute to the money you get when you die, so you may want to take into consideration at Sebastian’s shop.

Pinkie is more of a long scream noise A-60 is more of a static noise. I don't know how to describe blitz's noise, but the double flicker gives it away anyway. Also you can hide from pandemonium, but you simply have to be out of sight.

merg, i'd recommend going into settings and turning on deaf mode, it doesn't turn off your sound and gives the borders of your screen different colors when anglers are approaching or when you're angering a squiddle, its very useful extra warning. (just to clarify though, the screen border is the same color for the regular angler and for the squiddles, so don't get freaked out haha)

A little tip, looking down/up significantly reduces your hitbox, which can be very useful while hiding from turrets or the angler

btw, you dont need to be hiding from anglers so much, you can just stay away from their way. the one with eyes, aka boss aka pandemonium, however, can see you pretty much everywhere, if you are not hiding fully from his sight (for example side rooms and vents)

the Angler which you barely lived from at 13:52 and 17:00 was Frogger, he is a looping angler (meaning he goes back and forth like Ambush from doors.) he has a more high pitched 'close' proximity sound sound he is the only Angler (out of the 4) which loops. his close-by sound is like screeching metal Pinkie is the one who doesn't flicker the lights, she is very loud, louder than the other Anglers the other 2 have no different attributes. hope this helped :) oh yeah beware of Pandemonium he is not a Angler but he is very, very dangerous :)

Ayyyy Merg found the hand cranked flashlight, that thing was my best friend during my first run, and helped me never be afraid of the dark anymore, if it ran out just hold still charging it for a few seconds in the dark and it's back, it usually lasted enough to go through the dark section without leaving me in the dark for too long, I had like 4 different kinds of flashlights along with it, but I left them for an emergency in case I was running from something in the dark and couldn't afford to spend a few seconds in the pure darkness

btw, chainsmoker (the guy who killed you) has a bigger hitbox then usual!! so you gotta hide most of the time! also you should almost always get the farthest away you can from the angler instead of trying to reduce eye contact, since they are blind you just gotta either be in a closet or get away from the path to the door you entered from to the exit of the room. well beside pandemonium... he can see you ;3

Merg x Imaginary friend when: Anyway, great video :D I'll try to leave a tip anytime I make a comment on a pressure video of yours :3 Just like with any tips previously, I'll try to ensure it isn't spoiling anything Tip 1 A useful thing to know is that, sometimes the anglers will sound like they're coming back, even if they aren't. This is because sometimes the path they follow in the next room might get closer to the player again. In most cases you won't die from this. The only angler that actually can come back is "Frogger". Tip 2 Some props aren't the best to hide behind, like that pallet of wood you attempted to use. Typically you would want to hide behind something bigger. Good job on hiding behind that crate though when pinkie came :> You can also hide from angler if you're simply just a far enough away distance from it.

Puddles of void mass is actually a multiplayer balancing method. In singleplayer you have all lockers to hide in but void is an instant death. However in multiplayer it slowly deals damage to you but you now have other people that will take up lockers meaning that in a bad scenario with no other lockers will mean you have to jump into a void locker.

Merg, the only angler that bounces is froger, he ALWAYS goes forward, back, waits a bit and goes forward again. You can understand what angler is coming by his scream, normal one has just a loud scream, froger sounds like if you are trying to scream without using your voice, i cant really describe it good tho, probably the best way i can is the word dull, pinkie has a high pitched scream that can be heard further away, and chainsmoker sounds like he barely can breath + chains swinging around. Theres also pandemonium (MINIGAMES!!! time with eyes guy), he doesnt really do that much sound untill he sees you, he only doe that strange sounds of like... metal scratching, and when he sees you he does high pitched screaming. One last thing, pandemonium is the only one who actually can see you, from anglers you can hide in plain sight in some rooms, but this guy will see you if you arent behind a wall or any other thing, he also can see you in a locker so you couldnt just hide before he comes to escape minigame time. As great minds once said: 'you CANT escape!' (Or can if you just hide behind something bla bla bla) Also, merg when he sees a sleep paralysis demon, a living pc that tried to kill him with a gun and fish guy with few war crimes: 'You are frein :)'

I like that if there's fake doors, you can stand closer to the door without opening it, it makes you avoid so many awkward moments where you'd usualy get destroyed.. I mean in Doors tho, there's that one corridor filled with doors and the only path to get to the right door is to get a bit too close to one of the fake doors, eventually making dupe attack you, thanks to these things that transports the suitcases (even after 6+ years of learning english by myself, there's always that one word that I have every reason to know and yet still don't lol) Edit: 56:20 Merg got a bit too much silly cuteness overload
