I can believe it. That happened to me in my Prius Prime before I figured out how to get the heads up display to work. It handles so smoothly and quietly that you don't get the sense of speed from it. It takes some getting used to. :)

Hi Scottie, I bought a white pearl 2016 NX 200T, it's almost 5 yrs old in Oct, it has only 5, 700 miles on it, we don't dive it much, wife uses it, BUT what a great car this is, plenty of power for us, drives fantastic, can't find 1 defect any where on it, I detailed cars for 50 years, so I have seen and touched every part of the car, love the interior dash lights at night, looks like a fighter jet, I paid $41.5k out the door here in Ca. You are correct sir the gas mileage isn't too good, but we don't really go to far. I am impressed with the build quality. So glad I bought it.

I've been taking a few longer trips lately in my 2017 Lexus ES 300h (Hybrid.) I was going 80mph lots of the drive, with the family, dog, and luggage, and I still got OVER 40 mpg. Insane! It even runs on regular gas and is a very comfortable and roomy ride. Thinking of getting a GX 460 soon though, so I can say goodbye to THAT kind of gas mileage!

Lovely car - because of the price of gas at the moment in the US - nobody much cares about MPG at the moment- In Europe it's a different story though as fuel is nearly 3 times more expensive, so I'll stick with my Mazda hatchback.

Just from personal experience, ECO mode is not designed for highway driving which actually reduce MPG tremendously, not sure if this is the case for Lexus. I guess it is meant for city driving with frequent stop and go, thus regular mode will provide rated MPG on highways.

My 2.25 ton Volvo XC90 travelling on motorways and mixed A roads, mostly at 80mph on the motorways, gets 33 ⅓ USmpg 40 Imperial. It averages 31US on nasty country roads in hilly area. It is 4wd of course and 250hp and 500Nm from its 2.0 diesel engine with 8 speed automatic. The automatic is the same AW unit as fitted to many Lexus cars

Scotty I purchased a 2020 Rx350 awd.. in January... Mine is rated at 27mpg and it gets 26mpg at 75mph... Slow down to 65mph and the mileage goes up to 29mpg... City sort of is ok at 18.6mph... The AWD has a sensor system that decides if 2x or 4x is needed..... Oh yah it has the towing package from the factory...

I have a 2016 NX200T in Autumn Shimmer color ; which I named her CoCo; I have named all my previous vehicles🙂 She is FWD version and she does not have navigation. I like how she rides and handles. The driver’s seat is very comfortable. I have not tried the cooling or heating on the seats, yet. The doors and rear hatch sound solid when you close them. So far 👍🏻👍🏻 On the NX200T!

@Jose Lazcano hello....so far, so good. I purchased my 2016 NX last Feb 2020 and she had just shy of 32K miles on her at the time. I've been working from home the past year due to the Covid19 pandemic, so I haven't driven too many miles over the past year. Recently I had the oil changed and tires rotated. Since it is the synthetic oil, of course the oil change costs is a little more expensive compared to "regular oil change", but the Service Manager told me that with the type of driving I do, the synthetic oil should be good for another 10K miles, which will be next year. I've had (3) previous vehicles with turbos (1991 Eagle Talon TSI AWD; 2014 and 2017 Ford Escape Titanium). As long as you follow guidelines of operation/driving and maintain the service milestones maintenance it should be ok. I really like the way my NX handles. Knock on wood...so far my NX is the best vehicle I've owned over the past 35 years and driven, so far. I hope that you're enjoying driving your NX.

Don't forget that model is turbo charged!! Small turbo behind the motor only pushing a pound and a half of boost, that will play a part in the mpg

Scotty aeronautical engineering is my specialty and at 75mph the wind resistance in a SUV is very different than at 55mph. I'll bet it gets its rating at 55. Just 65 is much more efficient of a speed. Turbochargers are better in an aircraft for maintaining horsepower at high altitude where air resistance is less and you get better ground speed. We know what you like. I like seeing you repair or diagnose. Guess I will go back and rewatch an old program. 💖💖💖

I tend to keep them a long time. I’m looking at two Lexus, another thing we have in common other then age and education. Newer Lexus RX(2018-9) or a bit older (2016) LX. I’ve had 4 back surgeries and have a really bad back and I notice the luxury SUV’s are better on my back. I had an old 2000 CAD Escalade(50K milage) was great on my back when driving. Please help! Thanks Scotty! Love your channel. I miss they old 70’s cars when things were simple! 😂😂
