63rd attempt at asking Mast to- WAIT WHAT?!? Thank you to everyone who joined us on our journey. I was not going to stop my comment campaign regardless of the general responses, but the overwhelming support and positive feedback I've gotten over the past few weeks has genuinely made me smile, which is especially welcome after some stressful days at work. I would also like to thank The Academy. I don't know who The Academy is, but it just feels like one of those things you say during moments like these. And of course, a MAJOR thank you to Mast. I've been posting the same comment for the past 62 gameplay videos of his channel, partially because I wanted to see him uptake this strategy, but also partially as a growing meme. But in every single one of those videos, and for many years prior, Mast has always delivered quality content as a commentator and an excellent Smite player. He's always had my respect, and has inadvertently taught me a lot about this game for longer than I can really remember. I think that's why I chose his channel specifically, as opposed to other players like fineokay or Haddix. Now then, time to enjoy Merlin Solo with Vampiric Shroud for dummy thicc sustain in lane.

Having seen many requests for this (from the same guy), I grew increasingly curious about how Mast would do with this pick. However, I do fear that it opens the floodgates for other campaigns (Mast specifically mentioning that it won't work might be taken as a challenge). I found my new solo pick for this season. It is the best solo pick. It's Zhong qui Vampire Shroud -> Warlocks staff -> Book of Thoth -> Pen item like Divine Ruin or Spear of desolation if anti-heal isn't needed -> Void Stone if I need some magic D or some physical D item (Emp Crown, Breastplate of Valor) and then -> Mantle of Discord or Gauntlet if support didn't build it for some reason. Maybe Hide of the Urchin if I'm popping off. -> Blood Soaked shroud finish. You end up with 600 power, 210+ in each protection thanks to Zhong's passive and the new buff (or like 240 phys defense), 3k health a bit of healing from Blood Soaked and if you're lucky you can max cooldown with mantle/spear/pot/blue buff. I'm usually getting near top damage, near top mitigation and just all around kicking ass without dying. Doubling up on the stacking items doesn't hurt that much either, surprisingly. Both are pretty cheap it really pays off in the late game for the impact it has.

Had a really sweaty conquest game, around high-diamonds level. It was a 4 v 5. One of the enemy players got removed, I started the trebuchet. The team begin pushing minions up toward the second tower. They were already forcing an engagement, as they were very deep. Finally, the trebuchet arrives. We were able to force their team back towards the Phoenix. However, we were able to take them as well. The trebuchet lasted at least until the Phoenix was half. But to be honest, I think the hunter alone was doing more damage then the trebuchet 💀

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I don't think silences should silence relic usage. Maybe it's cause I'm a noob, but the only reason Mast died at 5 minutes was because he couldn't use his aegis cause of Cliodhna silence and I really dislike it EDIT: The "Is this the Merlin solo you wanted? Are you happy now?" after getting I think a Quadra kill had real Russell Crowe "Are you not entertained?" vibes from Gladiator, love it Mast xD

Ok, so I asked four times already for a Tiamat game both solo and mid lane. I have a sense that if Merlin is a boring god for Mast, Tiamat will be extra boring, so I'm counting on 3 months to get him to play one match. I know she's nothing extra, but Mast is my favorite Smite player, and Tia is my main, so I would really love to see a gameplay with her. I hope the community agrees with me a little.
