in the description you mention the animation being messy, but honestly? it's a vibe. it adds a rustic, one-person style. and I really didn't notice any inconsistencies. the whole thing ties together to kinda make you feel like you're really there, listening to a conversation between coworkers. it's nice. I love little unscripted pieces like this - where it's animated around a glimpse into someone's life you otherwise wouldn't see. thank you for making this and sharing it with the world, and I hope whatever job you have next allows you to flourish and experiment more creatively :]

This felt like a nice documentary, It was great ! The angles (like the ones in the kitchen) were really pretty and made me think you must be a great photographer. Filming them to then animate them with reference was genius. And animated food, maaan does that looked appetizing ! Loved the small moment between each interviews

This made me miss my old school restaurant working days. I started out as a dishwasher, then server, and ended a short order cook. The best part was when we closed and the boss left, we would drink beer, smoke, talk, and play music way too loud. Good times, cool people. Also, splitting the tip cash at the end of the night made me feel rich. Like finding treasure.

I'm a little late to the party haha but I wanted to say that this endeared me heavily, and I smiled throughout the video. I didn't even notice you mentioned you quit in summer the first time, but this short film FELT like summer. This was nostalgic to me as someone who also worked in a small family business restaurant for a while. I felt the overwhelming emotion but odd flow/meditative like state you enter when you're working hard. There are nights where you hate it but also LOVE it, and feeling attached to a place and its people, and I felt that in this video. Even though I'm only seeing the people and place animated - and I know you mentioned feeling unsure of how "messy" it was - this all felt REAL. Beautiful animation, a lovely depiction of humanity and (complex) work culture, and I'm definitely stealing "We buss, we hus, we sus" haha Looking forward to more!
