I saw Hamilton in January, when Lin-Manuel brought the show to Puerto Rico... won the Hamilton Lotto, and saw it on his birthday... it was amazing.. I still can’t believe that happened.. the show was not only amazing, the atmosphere (they were mostly college students, that got the $10 tickets) was incredible... I still get misty eyed thinking about it!

Sad story time: so in 2015 my friend and I went to New York for the first time ever. We were walking around Time Square and where all the broadway shows were. We walk past a theatre that was displaying the banner for a brand new show that had only been open for maybe a couple of weeks. We both go to each other “oh I wonder what this is? Should we check it out and buy tickets? Let’s just wait and see if we hear anything good about it and check it out next time we’re in town.” And that friends is how we missed our shot to see Hamilton without crazy prices or overflow of people trying to see it, with the amazing original cast. Almost 5 years later, still haven’t seen it, and it will forever haunt our broadway loving hearts 😭💔

I'm so happy you finally got to see it!! I think if anyone has the opportunity to watch it they definitely should as it's literally beyond amazing. I myself also didn't think I'd ever see Hamilton (at least not live) I'm from P.R so when I heard that Hamilton was coming to the island I had to go. After 13 hours in line (cause the online sale was stopped due to the fact that most purchases were from the states and not P.R itself) I got tickets and saw it. The whole cast was amazing. That is awesome that you got to see Hamilton! I actually got to see Hamilton back in June 8th last year for my birthday (it's actually on the 9th, but I was only in New York for 2 days)! My aunt surprised me with tickets to see Hamilton in New York with my mom's side of the family because one of her friends owns a private jet, so we got to fly in that jet to New York! The other awesome thing about that is that Mandy Gonzalez played Angelica when I got to see it which was a bonus! I also got to see Dear Evan Hansen that day and Mallory Bechtel played Zoe Murphy and Micheal Park played her dad!

Just looking for a place on the internet to geek out... I'm not really one to comment on videos but I feel my heart will burst from the excitement... There's this new musical that has yet to find its way to West End and Broadway entitled Vanara. The songs are online if you know how to search. There isn't much of the plot yet but from what I have gathered, it's about two tribes, one with fire and another without, and because of this, they will fight for supremacy in the forest. The leader of the tribe with fire has a daughter who wants to share the fire with the other tribe but her mother would rather keep the status quo. She has an intended but she is in love with the future leader of the other tribe. The songs are hauntingly beautiful- I'm especially in love with "How do I Open His Eyes?" Some even want to use the songs for auditions but the backing tracks are pretty hard to come by. I am from the Philippines and I don't have that much money to go to West End/Broadway but I would gladly watch any uploaded performances of it on KZbin. I am writing this comment to see if there are other people who would want to geek out with me :)
