Jeep 5.9 limited = 245hp and 345 lbs of torque which was crazy numbers back then. In fact the 5.9 limited was the fastest SUV produced at a 6.8 sec zero to 60 time

That means better put in new fuel pump just in case like what happened last time and you better buy rebuilt or you take pcm apart and re soldering the motherboard because they are prone to fail too!!! I bought rebuilt pcm on my son’s 1996 Grandcherokee off of guy on KZbin like 4 years ago. PCM is located on firewall on passagener side, the engine heat hurt it or coolant bottle too close to it. I’m glad I google up because lots of grandcherokee owners spend money on new transfercase, transmission and engine but turns out it was pcm all along!!!!

Definitely not the biggest motor ever put in a Wrangler or Cherokee. Maybe up until that point but the Trackhawk with the 707hp 6.2 Hemi takes that title for the Cherokees and the Wrangler Rubicon 392 with the 6.4 Hemi is largest for the Wranglers. Regardless that’s still one of the greats.

@masterbond9Сағат бұрын
The FJ Cruisers are neat SUVs, but theyre extremely wide. my dad shares a driveway with his neighbor who has one and as well as either has or had a tundra. its about 16-18 feet wide at the widest part, we have a longer portion, but we both have to get as close to the houses as possible. if the neighbor parks too far away from his house, and I'm too far from what was my house, a full sized pickup would have to have the mirrors folded to pass, otherwise its too narrow. Its a hundred year old house in a small town, and the house is similarly aged. the 2 families that built the houses, or at least the original owners, were best friends, and it extended down the family tree for a few generations from what ive been able to figure out

That 5.9 should move that thing pretty nicely. I had one (HO version) in a 3500 dually and it wasn't the most powerful thing I have ever driven but it hauled heavy loads on that old junky truck for years and years with very little problems. Only thing I can remember that was an issue was the distributor didn't like even humid days towards the end of its life. Well that, and she drank fuel like it was going out of style.
