Oompa’s videos are so much better because he doesn’t just submit to the status quo of bashing her like majority of influencers did. Sure he disagrees, but he genuinely gets to know them. A lot of non vegans use intelligence as the relevant moral trait that justifies mass murdering animals but not humans, so it’s completely valid to then ask if they’d be okay with mass murdering humans who had lower level intelligence like severely mentally disabled people. Whether it’s uncomfortable or not is irrelevant, it’s valid and it makes a lot of non vegans look like psychopaths if they bite the bullet.

It is genuinely so fascinating to hear the opinions of people that the internet has clowned on for so long in such a way that humanizes them. It can be challenging for many of us to view people we have never met, especially when they are showcasing extremes like Nick and The Vegan teacher. Still, when sat down to have a reasonably regular discussion, we get a glimpse into their minds and the way that they go through life. Truly impressive work, this is some of the best content I have seen on the platform in what feels like a decade.

I've been binging all his interview style videos recently and I gotta say that's been my favorite part of these videos. I've been trying harder to be like this myself and it's crazy the amount of people you can find common ground with no matter how much you disagree on something. We dehumanize people so quickly on the internet, we forget most people in front of a camera are exaggerated versions of themselves to grab attention. I enjoy these deep dives into controversial minds.

She's not wrong when she talks about kids getting bullied and how hard it is to just get general mutual respect from family and friends. People would throw sandwich meat at me in the lunch room. Try to hold me down and force freed me beef Jerky. I've had people pull out there phones to show me photos of dead animals. My father was a ag teacher my whole life and he even refused to buy groceries for me I had to go get a job to feed myself as a kid that's fine but it was always the first topic on holidays and how I make things more stressful even though I mainly lived of beans and rice my first two years as a vegan.

@muhelectionwasstolen7253and you are what's wrong with the world. You know a lot of vegans physically can't eat meat right? A lot of them throw up and get really sick from meat that's why they eat soy and stuff like that. Force feeding a kid isn't "delicious food or being offered" that's straight up bullying. Holding them down is still wrong, getting a job just to feed yourself also will give a kid ptsd. Clearly you don't get what the person was trying to say, but you the one being on the high horse rn loloh and showing a kid dead animals is okay?

NO SHOT you got her down there😂 First Nick, now vegan teacher, hats off to you sir lol. Thats crazy. I do appreciate her more philosophical approach on life as far as analyzing things on a more objective, logical level, I think she’s actually a decent person listening to her here. Its just when she goes on these vegan tirades while trying to strongarm everyone else into aligning themselves with her own belief system is when she becomes insufferable. Other than that, yea, she seems like a really decent person.

I think if she had prepared for this interview it would’ve gone a lot smoother, but that’s not oompas style. I agree with 95% of what she says. She’s just absolutely insane in how she justifies it. I am the exact same way when I see an animal in pain, I immediately stop it’s suffering. I think the most “vegan” (in her sense of the word) I ever was was when my friends caused a snake to not be living anymore simply because “it’s a venomous snake”. I thought to myself “then what’s stopping me from doing the same to you?”

The thing is she wouldn’t not because of points she uses and never mind a lot of her points are only based in opinion and not fact the reason people don’t like her is due to how judgemental, condescending and how straight up rude she is, even with people who ask simple questions or even nice to her whilst disagreeing with certain points she makes it’s not like she hasn’t been given a chance to be calm, level headed and rational it’s that she isn’t mentally capable of rationality

I feel like she repeatedly is not understanding that if you're at a place of business, purchase food and don't want it, it gets thrown in the trash. On the flip side, if I knew an animal could use my breast milk and was lactating I'd totally give that animal my breast milk.... The way I see it is if the animal puts up a fuss, but even then you could just be doing it wrong. I AM against milking cows at farm parks and stuff because I find it barbaric, but I also find it societally necessary to pass that knowledge to whoever is receptive if any catastrophe happens.. plus for heritage purposes, only much much less for the latter reason. Does that make sense?

I wish that she would understand that some things that are considered "not vegan" doesn't inherently mean lack of consent or cruelty. Mostly, because when a cow has given birth and it practically needs milked. It's either not milking the cow, risking their health and life overall, due to complications with udder/lack of milking, or to milk the cow so it doesn't have to go through that pain. Their calves can't drink all the milk they produce, due to the fact that they produce so much. That's why they NEED to be milked. But it's an added benefit for us to be able to utilize it instead of wasting the nutrients. It's not entirely about consent. And apparently, a lot of cows "like" being milked, having "favorite milking areas". The suction cups are pretty gentle on the cows udders and farmers typically clean their udders with iodine to prevent health issues. It's actually fairly humane. Not every place does it that way, of course, but it's the thing that is what NEEDS to be done. And with chickens, they produce eggs without roosters, so when they are infertile eggs. It isn't killing babies or anything. In fact, most grocery stores sell infertile eggs that were obtained without a hen mating with a rooster. And the chickens sometimes eat their own eggs if they need more calcium. She comes off really self-righteous, but the reality is, that she is a bit ignorant in the farming section. She is looking with lens from the outside, not from the inside, to know what is necessary to keep farm animals happy and healthy. I just wish there was a bit more research done on how farms operate, rather than just basing her views on the places like Mcdonalds and what not.
