I just randomly stumbled upon this channel but I have an interesting experiment for all leaf cutter ant owners. I read about this experiment about 30yrs ago but still remember it well. What the scientists studying the ants did was to get the fungus from an ant species that has very large nest and very productive fungus and give the fungus to species with small nests and fungus of very low productivity. What they observed was that the ant species that were given the new fungus suddenly started to have huge growth of colony both in size of nest and the number of ants raised.

When they do come out, if you could make a tutorial on how to use it and how it affects your care of the ants I'd love that as I'd like to get into keeping leafcutters

Really nice! Ur acros seem very healthy. The bit of dead fungus is normal. If anything ur lucky, as shipping kills most, if not all of the fungus most of the time. Especially over seas. Unfortunately I dont think ur atta will make it, but u never know. Edit: just saw ur insta story and maybe ur atta will make it

I use a cannon EOS 90D with a 100mm macro lens and depending on the size of the ants I also have a *2 extension tube (Yeah its just one word and that feels out. Get the question often 😆😄)
