Hey Tyler, enjoying watching your fishing videos and instruction videos. I have been watching you for about a month. I'm 73 and have been fishing since I was 8 strictly spinning reels and mono. I just loaded braid onto my new Mitchell 300, never used it before. Question: Do I have to fish braid with a mono or floro leader? Or can the bait be attached dirctly to the braid??

Search “TylersReelFishing line” and “TylersReelFishing leader”. You will find several videos that go way more into detail on this question than I could in this comment.

My grandparents have a dock on lake Sinclair ga and there’s a big stump right next to the dock with rocks along the sea wall that hold baitfish and I caught 7 bass in the same exact spot technically one doesn’t count because I caught the exact same fish that I had just released the cast before and caught it again the next cast. It the same hook mark as to where I hooked it previously. But they were absolutely stacked around that stump and rocks

ok i have a question do you think i should stop using those quick snap locks when using the jigs and other lures like crank and jerk baits and just tie it directly to the loop of the lure, cause these fast snap locks make it real easy to switch lures

I'm wondering if bass are always going after lures just because they move, or because they're actually hungry? I can go to a new body of water today, find a decent spot on the bank to fish, throw a Whopper plopper out and around the areas where I think the bass are hiding, just keep doing that a bunch of times and then all of a sudden one it seems gets ticked off enough and grabs the Whopper plopper, and then you get land your fish. However every time I do something like that it seems to skunk the whole body of water for hours to come. Why is that? I throw other things, I move to different spots I just can't seem to get anything else to hit. Also, I don't think I've ever caught a bass from the shore that was over 3 lb. Maybe, years ago when we didn't have cell phones and stuff like that, to get a picture right away and prove it. But lately I'm catching bass all over the place down here in florida, but they're not really that big. Don't get me wrong, they fight really hard. I'm just trying to figure out what I need to do. Must I have to suck it up and buy some kind of water craft to go after the really big fish, or what? It's been very frustrating for me. I do have a disability which is keeping me from being able to get around very easily. I have another hip replacement to go through, but the last one I healed up with pretty good. Any kind of instructions you could give me from what I just told you?
