Super exciting when big fish are bustin' like that. So exciting that I took a lure straight into MY MOUTH from a guy casting overhand as I was running by him to make my cast. Three inches from getting that hook in my eye. Underhand casting is a worthwhile skill to know on the pier.

What a Day, I have been on the pier dozens of times and I have seen Kingfish at sunset blitz, but never Redfish and Jack like that! Loved it man, can't wait to get back on that Pier this fall!

I ONCE had a great day at the pier but not only fish, but crab. We brought home 80 crabs that day, from a pier in Half Moon Bay, CA., many years ago. What a meal. Mom cooked them all, we ate, the neighbors ate, and mom made a few gallons of crab chowder for the freezer. Great memories.

I love that pier. Not very many piers are as nice up here in NC. I guess that’s partly due to the bad storms we have particularly on the Outer Banks. It looks like they still have some work to do on your pier. They were beautiful fish and so huge. What day of fishing!!! Loved this vide Matt.

When I was growing up, we used to vacation in Destin every year....Gulf Pines....before Sandestin. Nice work Mr. Isbell (as usual), crazy great day at the peir! I love the Gulf Shores peir, I fish it once a year, sometimes twice. As a resident of Tennessee I am not able to get down there as much as I would like. I've experienced some fantastic action at the peir and the entire area as well. If possible in the future could you let us (viewers) know what time of the year your slaying these fish. I'm watch your videos often and enjoy the action. Fish on!

A very rare and amazing day to say the least! As you are making your notes on this event you may want to put in under Water Color. Great day congrats. We just got home from Orange Beach. We caught pomp, remora, lady fish, and a Atlantic Sharp nose shark from the surf... Your videos on pompano rigs helped us be successful. Used shrimp tipped with fishbites. Tied my own rigs (from your video) and went out and took a couple of guys with me and got it done. Can't wait until we can come down again. I missed you at the pier by a couple days.

I got into the reds like that on Thanksgiving day a few years ago. We saw one school that seemed to be a half mile long and 100 yards wide. I have had some good times on that pier over the last 35 years

Saw Reds blitz like the Jacks did for you Guys in Venice Florida at the Pier before the Intercoastal Waterway was Finished.. You Could throw a Bare Shiny Hook and they would Slam it... Great Video Matt.. Awesome the way you Handle Business

I've never heard of Big Reds blitzing like that, looked like fun. I've been lucky enough (questionable opinion) to have fished Spanish Mackerel, Amberjack, Striped Bass, Bluefish, and Red Salmon blitzes though and know they will wear you out.
