I FIXED ALL OF THE PLAYER RATINGS FOR NHL 25

NHL 25 is right around the corner and EA officially released the player ratings over this past week leading up to the Launch date. Well most of these ratings are all over the place, so today let's look at every top 10 list revealed and fix what the raters got wrong. Kucherov being essentially a better version of Panarin on the opposite side but having the same rating makes 0 sense.

I agree, and despite Brayden Point being my favorite player, I'm not a huge Kucherov fan. But, the fact he got a 95 when he had a better season than MacKinnon, on a worse team, and Mac got a 96. Just kinda stinks.. I think to at least make it fair, is to have Kuch as the only 95 Foward. Knock Pasta and Panarin down to a 94.

Change my mind: overalls should cap at 93 overall (for modern players). I believe the highest overalls, like 99 or smth, should be reserved for HUT or Hall of Fame teams, yet I understand the argument. It just doesn’t feel realistic for McDavid to go end to end a hundred times in the same shift. If you want to play arcade like NHL, fix your rosters and sliders. But I don’t care enough to really do rosters and stuff so I rather EA just makes it realistic :/

Nah not every person wants to play HUT and other games like madden have 99 overalls and their ultimate team modes are fine. Best players should be given the best overalls it just makes the most sense that way

Yes this! We don't need McDavid to be 99 because he is not perfect all around player and no one is. Making players 99 feels dumb and that some kid is making those decisions

@@codycassel8996 because he is not 99 on all aspects of the game😄 he is not best at face offs, tackling, defending ect. He is fastest and best on many things but that doesn't mean he should get 99 on everything

Leo Carlsson at 82 while fantilli is 85 is highway robbery. Leo should be minimum 85, but more like 86-87

I think the problem is probably more how EA weighs certain stats into the overall, what it views as actually important, because in all reality, someone like Matthews should actually have a fairly low overall rating if you are talking purely stats, its all in IQ, and how he shoots that pushes him up. I dunno its really weird to me.

Matthews had nearly 70 goals and is arguably one of the best defensive centers in the game. He deserves that rating and maybe even more if they went to 99

@@jimmyhockey I get what you mean, but I am saying I view matthews as kind of a Larry bird style player, where we are talking about a dude who if you put his stats on paper, hes not the fastest, hes not the toughest, he just gets it done in a way that makes it almost seem easy. So if we go purely by stats he would be low, while being a legitimate top tier player, does that make sense?

I agree Connor is gettin a little too much love but to blame it on health makes no sense. Guy played 82 games in 22-23 and missed just 17 games this season. Not a health thing, he just isn’t as good as Forsberg

Hope EA made some needed improvements to 25. 24 is cumbersome and slow, and the Unis colors look faded and drab. Change just for the sake of change is not always a good idea. Be that as it may, I can't wait. 😮

A lot of these ratings are inaccurate imo. There is a way to set these overall properly. I don't know who in the company takes care of it. But they should actually get advanced stats from a company already partnered with the NHL, SportsLogiq. The should revamp all the ratings from all the players considering multiple factors beside data like numbers, pre-season physical tests, height , age etc...

Davo should be a 99, if he isn’t a 99 then the ratings might as well not even be out of 100

In my opinion, rating players super high is just unrealistic. The max should cap at 93, realistically. The highest overalls should be reserved for the Hall of Fame teams only, unless you want McDavid running 12 consecutive end-to-end Michigans back to back.
