I FIXED THE OIL LEAK | REBUILDING MY CRASH DAMAGED AUDI TT | PART 3

VIDEO IS 39 MINUTES. For some reason there is 6 minutes of nothing at the end. I do apologise!!
After finding oil on one of the coil packs, I found out that the rocker cover gasket had failed. In this video I replace it with a new one and also finally get the new wing fitted!

Hay mate a lot of Audis have a timing belt and a chain, you will notice the cam belt only drives one cam shaft and the chain you mentioned that could be for pumping oil is actually the timing chain for the other cam shaft. People often neglect the chain and wonder why their engine sounds rattly even when its had the cam belt done.

you are going to find all them pipes perish change all pipes to silicon and catch can kit

Oven cleaner works alright on rocket covers or just change oil often and that wont happen. That top pipe is just a breather hose it will recirculate back to the manifold oil in the boost pipes it shouldnt be there but any higher 70k milage car is gona have it as the seals will be worn on turbo but i wouldnt worry till it blows. Them coil connectors they have a tab at the rear of the connector you need to pull it towards the wire its connected to which pushes the front up and pull off you can buy new ones cheap but you will have to de pin the connector only know this as recently made a ignition loom for my engine. I had a 1.8t years ago in a passat 90k and that chain you mention the oil lifter brokeand sent bit into turbo argh lol.

Usually the spark plug sockets have a rubber thing inside that grips the spark plug if not magnetic

Ah yes I did see this on the sockets I bought, I’ve ended up getting a magnet anyway which I’m sure will come in handy anyway

You’re not supposed to put gasket sealer on the whole top of the head only in specific parts and a tiny amount
