Commerce doesnot mean selling only clothes gadgets grocery... etc (hard products) but Commerce means selling anything and everything, wherther it is hard product or soft product or even services. The Indian market is huge. You'll get customers who are willing to pay and subscribe to stuff. Even if a minority, the number is huge because of the population. Especially if the product requires a bit higher intellectual power, you can't cater to the masses. You have to cater to the minority who are well-read, competent and rich.

MDR is zero for UPI and rupay I believe, and that too for rupay upto certian amounts. For visa and mastercards, MDR still applies.

For me also, applying for credit card was very difficult, no credit history and applications kept getting rejected. Then applied on bank which I have account with, Application was approved. Got the Credit Card for cashbacks, but I have started to feel like I am not that much of a spender, and the cashback would amount to only the cost of the Annual Fee, nothing more. Life Time Free Credit Cards are better value for money if you don't spend too much. But like you said, it could be that we in general like free things.

bro joint family means living under one roof, If you go to my village in north Maharashtra you will see like 90-95% of families living separately, like I have 2 uncles in village their homes are just 20 meters apart, but both live on their own, cook their own, sometimes invite each other, They love eachother and don't fight but still choose to live in their own seperate house. This is the case for many familes in villages in India. Mostly in MP, Gujrat and Rajasthan I have seen joint families but still many live near each other but separate houses.
