I really appreciate your knowledge on the subject too as I love to hear the proper names of your beautiful finds! Not just a brief flash, where my eyes don't even have time to focus!🧐😂 Some of the shells may well be boringly common for you, but here in the uk we sadly don't find such an amazing array of gorgeous exotic looking shells. Wow, red tulip! Wow purple apple murex! the cones! I have a request, I would like a still shot of a shell pile. I want to freeze it on the screen and just learn to look for shapes vs colors. Then after a couple of minutes, arrows with id of shells to help me see what I missed. Kind of like an I Spy a.... If possible I think we could all benefit doing the search and an answer key. Thanks in advance!

Brilliant congrats on the rare ones and all the pretty ones! I craft woven pieces that I line and make into baskets. I look for and use mostly drilled pretty small somewhat flat and clam shaped shells on their top rim lol so I leave the heavier big ones I just cant use them and until finding you I never knew they were so valuable to shellers. Now I will pick up a few : )

First time watching your channel, (subscribed!) and I am so happy I found you! Well, and your channel..LOL! I am a shell lover as well, but never get the chance to go shelling. Not a lot of that here in Northern NY. ;) Anyhow, I just wanted to say that I also love the broken shells. They just speak to me of the passage of time, I guess. So much character! Like the one at around 8: 30 maybe? It was close to a pointy piece of wood sticking up out of the sand. The wood, not the shell. I hope you collect some of those as well sometimes. I'd even consider buying them! Oh the tiny hermit crab was darling, wasn't he/she? And thank you for the ocean and whole beach views! Absolutely gorgeous, I agree! I also wondered if you are allowed to collect driftwood there, or on other islands? Probably not, huh? I'm an avid driftwood collector, and that I can get here! Yay! I'm surrounded by many rivers here. Ok, sorry for the long comment, but I'm just so excited to find your videos! Thanks again! I'm off to find more to watch!

It's actually pretty tough to find wood on the beach that won't just fall apart. I've seen people "sawing" off pieces of the dead trees on the beach, but drift wood is kind of hard to find. Strange...I never really thought about that. And I sometimes really like the discolored or worn shells. There is something beautiful about them and how the passage of time is shown through the smoothing of spikey shells. I grew up in NJ so once I discovered the beaches down here I fell in love. Thank you so much for subscribing and I hope you enjoy your future beach walks with me!
