I can't imagine the joy of finding a shell on the beach but I get my thrills too when I get them on line and when I get the package in front of me I get so thrilled that I literally am not able to speak. Good thing I nobody's around. Then again I know nobody here in Dallas that loves seashells.

My mother would spend hours on the beach looking for seashells. We had a summer home on the Oregon coast. When mom passed my daughter took some of the shells and glued them to a mirror frame, it's beautiful, it hangs over her kitchen sink.

I love watching your videos!!! I've lived in North Carolina for a little over 2 years. This is my first time living east of Texas. Money is very tight, so I haven't made it to the beach yet, but I will!!! I've always loved seashells!!! I've learned so many names/types of seashells by watching your channel !!! I have a dream to go to southwest Florida and find all those shells for myself!!! I love the "Beach Time" you give us. I actually have a request in regards to that. One thing I really love to do when I'm at a beach is to look directly out into the sea and watch the waves forming. You See the swells out in the distance and get to watch them grow bigger, then break as they get closer to shore. It's so relaxing watching that! I get awestruck by the beauty and grateful to God for giving us this beautiful world!! Sorry, got a bit wrapped up just thinking about it. So, my request is, could you please, occasionally give us some shots facing the ocean for a few minutes during "Beach Time???" Congratulations on that Horse Conch!!!! I would probably almost faint if I found any kind of shell that size!!! Again, love the videos!! Thank you so much.

Bedroom doors opened up as I yelled, YES!!! She got one, she found one!!😂😢 Unbelievable!! I’m so happy for you!! You’re such a beautiful hearted person and you’re always happy for others when they get what they want but at the same time you would love to find one too!! YAY!!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 You know when you were talking about the Mossy Arc shell, I looked at it and it reminded me of a pastry mom use to make. It was a circle that she filled and folded it in half then she’d snip it in the middle where it was curved and she then pinched the 2 small snipped pieces together and pinched it, that’s what that shell reminded me of. 🤷♀️ When you gave us our Beach Time, I teared up. 😢 It sounded so beautiful. I want to go shelling but low tide is always late at night for the best time. Looks like I’ll have to wait until it’s in the morning or afternoon. I miss the beaches. Thank you so much for this exciting video!! Have a great week and take care!!🥰☺️🐬🐬
@SWFBeachLife Жыл бұрын
Oh it's so annoying when the tides are either in the dead of night or some other time when we can't get to the beach. The tide coming in helped me on this one and removed just a little sand so I could see that beauty waiting for me 😃 Thanks so much for sharing my excitement!

Oh my gosh! I love all the beauties you found! Each one seemed better than the last one. What an awesome horse conch! Most every shell I have ever found was broken or chipped. It is about a four to five hour trip for me to get to the beach. Thanks so much for the video! Stay safe.

Hi Sharmon, What a great haul of shells! I had to laugh when I saw all the FFC's. You are right, every one of them is gorgeous, especially that partial albino one. And that horse conch. WOW!! I'm so happy for you! Congratulations on finding it! Next time, there will be a Junonia, it's waiting there for you!😘 Thank you for taking us with you on your trips. Even now, when it's difficult to go. You're taking so much effort to go shelling and make videos. Thank you so much for doing that!! I wish you're having a wonderful week, filled with love and joy. I would love to see your giant horse conch after you get it cleaned up. This was just an exceptional video. The hopefulness in you voice, your consideration of others whether they be individuals or businesses. AND finally... you took just about every fighting conch you found. It drives me crazy all the fighting conch you leave behind. I often fantasize that I'm behind you picking all them up. No, not a stalker. I have got to get to the Florida coasts someday. And Key West where I can visit with multi-toed kitten paws of Hemingway's polydactyl cats. My favorite type of kitten paws.

Yes on the kitten paws! Those are my favorites of the small/tiny shells and I've been longing for a Hemingway cat! Those extra tosies to smooch on!

I remember a specific walk I made on Tigertail. I tried some new beach shoes and walked all the way to the end. It's probably over a mile to the end and I was picking up all the gorgeous fighting conchs I saw. By the time I was heading back, I was carrying my shell bag like a giant toddler - my bag was so heavy I was afraid it would break and it was digging into my shoulder something awful. So...I have learned to try to ignore those shells until I am leaving the beach. Of course it doesn't always work - there are always about a half dozen that I HAVE to have now, but honestly they are some heavy shells. I hope you do get to come here and collect some of those beauties for yourself - and meet the Hemingway cats!

I am binge watching...love your content...and now I know the name of shells I’ve had for years! My grandparents lived in Florida years back and some good memories were made while shelling with grandma. I also find myself yelling at the screen...that’s a jewel box, Florida fighting conch, banded tulip, ...I’ve learned so much! I’m from Michigan and am obsessed with our beaches and all the cool rocks and fossils that are found exclusively in our state. I also love that you help the critters and share them with us too!

I'm a sucker for banded tulips also. Pass-a-Grille has a lot of those up here. Very darkly colored LM! Hmmm... So I'm getting the impression this might be the day you picked up "about 70" FFC's... Yes, that's a very pretty TC. They usually have beach stuff on them. Albinistic is a new term to me but explains the coloring on some of the prickly cockles I found after the storms. Thanks for that. Gorgeous LM at 19 min.! I definitely like hinged or complete shells as well. Mainly because they're not as common... After the storms, we had tons of hinged scallops and prickly cockles wash up. Sharmon, you're cracking me up about the FFC's! Honestly, we ALL get it. I don't sell shells (by themselves) so I just don't have the room for hords of them. But every once in a while. I'll pick up another pretty one. Mostly I keep the pretty juveniles for crafting. Congrats on your HC!!👍👍 The point is really good it looks like. Are you going to try to clean it up or leave it as it is? Oh, BTW, Lisa found her 2nd J for the year on Friday and I found one today!!! It was complete but very faded. Maybe there's one waiting for you up here!😊 xxoo
@SWFBeachLife Жыл бұрын
That's awesome on the J's!! Congrats! I keep thinking mine is out there but it has yet to find me. And I'm getting better about my shells - I actually want to slim down my collection but for some reason I can't stop bringing them home! I'm about due for a good recycling trip. And I will get up there one of these days!!
