Congrats! That was the OBVIOUS choice. So cute, functional, and has charm. You can most def get creative with the floor/wall damage. Rugs, decor, some renter friendly hacks and it’ll be unnoticeable.

Omg ms girl I have lived in the West Village now for 3 years on carmine street (now Cornelia street) and the streets are so narrow and there’s so many restaurants that it’s just always loud. I am in love with it and the way it bustles but just warning you may not get the peace you’re searching for! Just get noise cancelling earplugs at night bc I always feel like I wake up from garbage trucks! But I’m in love and will never move as long as they don’t raise my rent ! Good luck w the search!

Excellent choice. The desk could even be inside one of the closets if you don't have tons and tons of clothes. If not, another option would be modular, multi-purpose furniture like up when nit in use and down when being used sort of furniture. I also loved the apt the minute you showed it. I said, this is it. : )

For the makeshift wall thst was there before, you could put a wall unit to cover th a t part of the brick and a rug to cover the floor and no one will know except you and of course whoever saw the before video.

I would have picked that one also . The Duplex is very cool because it has separated spaces . Plus a huge closet , I love the Juliet balcony & the brick . I have endless ideas for decor .
