Uh, looks like they need a professional designer on the project. I saw in the model home the refrigerator power cord wrapped from behind and plugged into an adjacent wall in plain view instead of traditionally out of sight behind the refrigerator. And this is in the "show the world" model unit. Sloppy placement. Also, the interior walls look tremendously cheap and lack quality as they look like you went down to Home Depot and threw up some antiqued wood panels. In my opinion it seems as if this team needs some instruction in interior design. And we don't have to have a degree in design to know if we like what we see or not.

Affordable, to most middle to low income people, I think affordable is closer to $60,000 for a two bedroom one and a half bath basic simple home with only the necessities. A senior citizen living on Social Security is what I would consider for someone to be the goal for affordability

You are spot on. I keep seeing these prefab companies pop up but non of them are actually affordable. They are just jumping on the trend of minimalist housing for the rich. I can get a single wide for less than a 100k that are larger than the largest steel prefab but that’s still not affordable for a lot of people, but you are not going to get a rich person to buy a single wide even if it is essentially the same thing as these new prefab homes 🤷🏻♀️

@@kaylapeate8838 you’re right I’ve seen a lot of singlewides that I would be totally happy them on sale, I’ve seen them as low as $65,000 complete with everything and that’s usually with upgrades.

Excellent points all the way around, we are definitely starting out on the higher end as we are figuring out processes, procedures and time saving innovative ways to construct and manufacture. We gavely appreciate the continued support and hope you will follow our journey at driving these costs well below national averages.

@@justinarmendariz7473 yes, I will follow one feature I really like as I’ve been searching for my downsizing home is the wet bathroom open shower all in one for the master bathroom, especially for seniors who may be wheelchair or need a shower chair which never fit in the standard shower stalls

Simple Design Improvement: you need a really slim base cabinet (12 inches or less) that separates the Oven from the Washer/Dryer. Kitchen designs where appliances touch each other look shabby. Even if that means taking from the width of the floor-to-ceiling Pantry or from other living space.

$135 per square foot is not cheap enough. I can get a moderate barndominium in Kentucky with 1600 ft² for $125 per square foot.
@MuShinnen9 ай бұрын
Which is great for you, but those are not actively available as an option for everyone. In some areas barndominiums are outright illegal. Your definition of cheap as compared to someone else's is also liable to be different. 135 a square foot for a custom built house that isn't a repurposed structure is far cheaper than many other offerings.

Dude, while you are there you need to go into the Organ Mountains. There are wonderful trails on both sides. I highly recommend the Auguilla Springs campground on the opposite side from Las Cruces... great views. gorgeous.

I'm looking at a "box for you" kind of modular....Where you can buy the panels to build a section and "bolt" it to another box made of said panels. Steel vs. Wood is not the worry for me. Taking some basic square boxes that are wired/plumbed and bolting them together to form a semi finished unit that can be detailed out with interior walls, cabinets and appliances. I'm a DIY guy and want some control over how my finishes are done.
@justinarmendariz74739 ай бұрын
That is definitely doable, and we really enjoy the fact that owners can put the finishing touches on if they so desire. Thank you for the continued support
