I remember this ad. Once I was trying to screenshare a video to a friend but my browser wasn't letting me so I started using a weird ass browser just for screenshare KZbin videos. But the built in ad block was so bad I ALWAYS got the vacation ad and couldn't skip it. Even demonetized videos would get the vacation ad. It was a nightmare

8:18 I’m pretty sure based on the facial expression that he’s expressing distaste at the “just be happy” mentality that is often told to depressed people. Alternatively, since the previous lyric was “if you can smile” it might mean that he is pointing out that people who claim to empathize with him cannot do so, since they are able to smile while he very much cannot. The final interpretation I’m seeing is that this is an aggressive pep talk, as if to say “If you can smile, you can push forward. Do not wallow in your sadness.” But of course the point of art is to be interpreted in a myriad of ways, and these are of course my own interpretations based on what I see in that art.
