I gave a school presentation on why Snufmin’s canon

I was super nervous to do this but thankfully my whole was incredibly supportive and unanimously agreed these two were a couple.
Overall, this was a really enjoyable experience ^^
Huge thanks to Eden who helped me polish the script and I’m really sad huge chunks of it didn’t get the chance to shine because of time constraints :(

Lovely analysis, but imo Moomintroll is more understanding of Snuf's need to travel than people might think. Yeah, he's sad about it but that's not something that can be easily controlled. He is trying his best and he never tries to restrain him. They both clearly put effort into their relationship and I don't think a slight instance of being too clingy or too cold would be enough to damage it. That's how close they are. Also, anyone who says Snufkin is Moomin's "adult friend" can shut up please because Tove literally wrote them to be around the same age and they're *clearly* all kids in the first few books and I will die on this hill-

I think I did forget to take that into consideration when writing the script jsjsjs it's interesting though that people do forget Moomin can both be clingy and understanding/open to Snufkin's needs. I sometimes even make that mistake myself (As you can see ;w;) and it's lovely to think/know both parties are willing to adapt and change to their needs in a relationship so as to not lose each other... Or at least that's how I understood it ^^

It was really well put together and we were all cheering her on djjsj Also I'm fairly certain like 80% of the kids in my generation are some kind of lgbt so I guess that may have to do with it

Djsjd well that is just a headcanon after all, but the series has given lots of evidence that would lead people (oncluding me and your parents) to come to that conclusion. I think it's espcially how Tove based Moomintroll after herself and Snufkin after her at one point fiancé Atos Wirtanen. However, it only grows tragic from there since the relstionship could not be as Atos didn't give as much love as Tove needed and the two colled off the marriage and went their separate ways... I think a lot of that is reflected in Snufmin and I would've liked to include this point in the presentation yet I couldn't due to time constraints. Is Snufmin a doomed relationship as Tove and Atos' was? I like the think about that at times

The assignment in my English class was basically to do a 5 min speech on whatever we wanted, but we had to try to convince the class of _something_ relating to the topic we chose. My brother was the one who jokingly suggested I do it on Snufmin, so you can thank him for that ;D I spent way too much time preparing for this but I think everything turned out ok! Yes! The original script was much longer and I focused a little more on what the books/comics had to say since they are direct source matetial. However, because of time constraints, I had to cut it down :"(( Still! I managed to get books excerpts into the final product which I was very happy about since they're super duper gay djfndkdkds Like Moomintroll really sees his midnight swims and talks with Snufkin when he sees the King's Ruby, which shows what a person cherishes most so likeeeee If you haven't read the books before, I HIGHLY recommend them; can't describe Tove's writing as anything but magical ^^

So, the assignment in it of itself was "a speech", but since it was end of semester stuff and the teacher's chill, it became more of a "talk about anything for 6 minutes or less in front of the class" kind of assignment. As long as you made a script/outline and the theme was school appropriate, it was ok 👌 I took advantage of that jsfbsj

Oh, i remember having rough time with my history exams few months ago, so i had to send my uni teacher some small informational pieces about culturally important people in history, whether there were vital for russian or world history. So it started pretty OK for a class stuff, two russian empresses, russian mathematician lady, Howard Lovecraft, and then. My obsession with Markiplier kicked in and i wrote a doc about him being the really important for cultural impact in modern world. So to conclude, i made it to the exam and passed it with bright colours!! She accepted Markiplier as a culturally important hooman!!

The class was called Phonetics, but we only ever learned about various types of academic papers. Our teacher was American so she was really strict about stuff, but when she quit and got replaced by a Mexican teacher, things got more chill for all of us. This particular occasion, we had to do a speech, but the teacher said it didn't have to be about anything in particular and to just have fun with it, so I did :) I never reallly expected to have so many people care for it though 😂 pleasant surprise!

The episode was alright, I mean I wasn't a fan of the Sniff plot but the animation was nice and Mamma was great as always :") Now, episode 2... I have mixed feelings about it. LKAJSHDAJKSHD I KNOW I KNOW-- I haven't finished s3 yet, but from what I've seen so far, I think that is it contextually canon at this point, but from extensive evidence (literally them having Snorkmaiden and Moomintroll get back together the second they appear on screen together once again aFTER THEY APPARENTLY MADE THEM BREAK UP FOR GOOD--), I'm afraid Gutsy won't make it so in MV19 T_T

I never understood why people used the dragon jealousy as proof. I mean, English is not my native language, so maybe it has a different meaning, but what I understood was that Moomintroll was jealous of Snufkin because he got all the dragon's attention, while Moomintroll wanted the dragon's attention to himself, so that's why he used that tone when he said "He only has eyes for Snufkin". I totally think these two would go great together, I just don't get this little part :(

If I’m being honest, I don’t really get it either! When I first heard the argument, I thought the exact same as you. However, I just saw it be repeated so many times I ended up taking it for granted and included it in the script as a result. But idk, English is also not my native language even if I’m practically fluent, so if there’s a hidden meaning, that’s beyond me TwT My theory is that he was both jealous of Snufkin AND the dragon, because as a result of Snufkin being more like the dragon, the latter didn’t want to stay with Moomintroll’s smothering tendencies, and as a result Moomintroll couldn’t go and be with Snufkin, either, since the dragon would be there and it would make him feel down.

Not that I remember! Most people were either neutral/supportive of the idea or just didn't care and were looking at their phones during the presentation 😂😂 The one kid who did know Moomin told me afterwards that I should pass just for talking about Snufmin and Moomin in general though jsbsjssj
