Like, there's no way that Thought Bubbles or Having a Few People Over were Josh or Darryl actually singing/dancing, but in both cases Rebecca kind of knew enough to "compose" those? And sometimes I think she might compose one later "IRL" than it actually fit into the show, after someone told her about something happening; like, Fit Hot Guys Have Problems Too or My Sperm Is Healthy, that's how I think of those. Someone was talking to Rebecca about something that happened while she wasn't around, and she made a number about that after the fact. (I can even picture Darryl playfully just singing the one line "my sperm is healthy" to himself a couple of times in happiness, and Rebecca spinning out an entire song around that in her head. :P) But yeah, there's a couple I think are just legit for real, like I'm 100% certain that You're My Best Friend (And I Know I'm Not Yours) was actually sung by Darryl to Paula. :D (Also in this case, I think Rachel Bloom actually confirmed that Greg _did_ do a cute little song about it, and Rebecca just exaggerated it?)

For me what makes this song work is the fact that, as a woman, it is a bit embarrassing to tell your boyfriend about that kind of infection because it is not something very sexy or something a man usually wants to hear from a woman. and the fact that he immediately gets excited takes away all that embarrassment so that she can laugh about it herself. that's what made this song so enjoyable for me. He does not think it's gross or anything, he lightens the mood and makes her smile. man, I love, Greg!

Yet we love her, because mental health and self growth is important and she touches up on relatable things. People can change and be better. That's what the show is about, a womans mental health journey through her BPD, life of a successful smart woman who makes piss poor decisions in her private life. By your standards the shows name "Crazy ex girlfriend" should be sexist as well. Rachel Bloom gave us songs about period sex and UTIs, a common things in a womans world to normalize us being able to talk about it. That's feminist AF in the most right way. 💪Gender equality means we stand together with opposite gender. Not above or beneath.*

My ex-boyfriend gave me a UTI, and right after that I had to go for a one week trip abroad. So I didn't get any treatment and the trip was so exhausting that I ended up having the infection all transferred to my kidneys, thus having a severe fever and getting really sick in a foreign country. I really freaked out and it was a real mess! 😂😂 And after that when I was watching this show, Rebecca did the same thing I did! It was so relatable. Medicate a UTI before it's too late!! p.s.
