Because I know they have plants aka staged auditions where the judges know exactly who it is, which is why you’ll get those amazing singers that start off with a “bad song” and Simon will stop them and tell them to sing something else. Yeah, I went to your show last year in Utrecht and it was really funny. I guess you have quite a unique style of comedy that doesn't translate as well to an audience of 3000 Americans who aren't necessarily into standup. I think playing a sound trough the speakers of the judge saying he cannot reach the buzzer so you should press it yourself is really funny, but if noone can hear it because they're all booing... it doesn't work. Shame that it didn't work out, but lets be honest, booing, four red buzzers, and a golden buzzer is a pretty funny outcome

The funny thing is, shows like this NEED acts like yours. Because it’s entertaining regardless. Either your jokes kill and it’s entertaining that way, or they fall flat and it’s chaotic like this was and it’s like watching a train wreck. There's a bunch of less experienced, panicked performers that show has made a freakshow out of in the edit. You finished the bit and didnt bail before the judges comments etc. Incredible stuff.

Its not my taste... but i definetely very much respect, that you brang down the egos of the jury at least a little bit. So that they know a little bit more, what it means for someone who gets on stage, puts efford in the performance, just to get roasted by a jury who actually dont have any particular talent. Sure i know the conditions of the show - the signed contract and everything - but still.. from time to time its necessary to bring that whole concept down to a human level again. And you did that. In that sense, it was important what you did, in my opinion.

Why do people think the crowd didn’t understand the humor? It was very obvious, just playing audio over someone to make it sound like they said he should hit the buzzer when they didn’t. It just wasn’t funny, no offense man. It dragged on and was an awkward and basic concept. Especially if some people couldn’t hear the audio and thought you did it to be egotistical. It’s so bizarre to see all these people like “Americans can’t understand dry sophisticated humor!!!”. Nothing about this was dry, it was just weak - again I’m sorry to say this, you have potential man, but this routine needs work.

As a reminder of what they do for crowds, 90% of the time it's not the current reaction of the crowd, but source clips they make the crowd do before everyone does their acts, it's a bunch of different reactions they get real fast before it begins

Oh it definitely was. Love the guy but despite knowing he was just trolling and messing around, knowing most people weren't aware still made me cringe/feel embarassed a bit for him haha Like some said, I think his kind of humour didn't resonate with the crowd

This isn't even some crazy avant-garde material... pretty standard stuff. I genuinely don't understand why the judges were so confused. Funnier than anything I've seen from Howie Mandel that's for sure
