Winter - I think you’re great! I used to play sc2 religiously, back when WoL came out, through to LotV. I used to love watching vids of people like Day9 and Totalbiscuit. My interest in the game started to reduce when they stopped covering the game. More recently, a video of yours randomly popped up in my recommendations, with me having not seen a SC2 video nor played a game in years. A few weeks later, I’m now playing again quite regularly, slowly climbing the ladder and loving your content, and it’s thanks to you. Well i am a 53 year old fps veteran, and have never played a rts game before. i came across winters videos when i was searching for terran tips, and they have helped me so much. i have only been playing sc2 for just over 3 weeks and can beat elite ai easily now. I played my pre ranked games and ended up in bronze 1,and then won my first 2 games and was promoted to silver 3. Thank you winter for all your content, it has helped me so much to understand were i need to improve. My journey has just started but with content like yours i know i will be able to climb the ranks 👍😁👍❤❤❤

When I was starting/returning after years to the ladder , I actually started with learning to beat elite AI in a game without cheese. And when i did it consistently i went to the ladder, and with some fast corrections for cheese, I was able to land in gold. So AI elite - Gold seems correct in my experience

Well, honestly, I've been successful with vs Elite AI only as a Terran. I've been using Winter Low APM builds, but as Zerg&Protoss it wasn't so good for me. BUT, I had the most practice with Terran, so, I guess, if I practiced more with other races, I think, that I also would be able to beat Elite AI. So, it's about practice, not about someone's videos being bad. I'm not calling out anyone -- it's just a matter of self-development.

u can beat the elite AI with almost any build. i usually play zerg, but i can beat it with any race. my MMR is about 2600 iirc, so not really high. and that's with zerg, i have no build order with other races. and i still win every game unless i fk up big time.

So i was gold back in HotS like right before they introduced libs and widows into ladder. Yeah its been a long time. But ive been trying to get back in, watching your vids has helped a lot. I'm late to this video but was watching it for fun while I play Eve Online, and this one time stamp got me laughing...after I was initially very confused: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eX27pomJrsR5fq8 I started my FPS life with WC2 and Command & Conquer. Played almost every game in both of those series as well as a ton of SC. I only casually play SC2 from time to time as I have other priorities...but I never EVER remember there's such a thing as a select all army hotkey lmao. When I saw the meme I couldn't remember what F2 did. I never learned this hotkey from SC2 because I'm so used to making groups with units and buildings. Maybe it's my age showing, but I don't understand why you'd even want to get used to the select all army hotkey. Every unit (usually) has a specific function and you want to use them to the best of your abilities, which means keeping units (most of the time) "segregated" if you will.
