How many visits did you go to the ortho before getting braces on? I'm looking into getting braces so I'm just curious what an average wait is from the first consultation to getting them on... Also, you're super pretty!

I consulted with about 5 different places and they all had different time frames based on their ability. The place i went with did the consultation within a week and then put my braces on 2 weeks later. Another place was going to do the consult 2 weeks out but was able to put on the braces the next day. Another place didnt have a consultation until 2 months out. Good luck on ur search! Definitely get different consults and pricing. This ortho quoted me 7-9 months at $4300 and another place quoted me 18-24 months at $6200. 😳 And thank u so much! 🥰

i have heard that the clear brackets stain easily and it’s a pain. has that been a problem for you? i’m getting them tomorrow.

How did you go? Im debating whether to get them. I hear they are bulkier. But my orthodontist insists he uses a top quality one that isnt as big and doesnt increase treatment time. Im not sure

ye23 so sorry for the late response ive been busy!! i personally like the clear brackets. it hurt at first and i wasn’t sure if i liked them, but they are barely noticeable anymore. half my friends still haven’t noticed i have them. you def do have to be more careful with food because when it gets stuck in between ur teeth its more noticable, but it turns out, ceramic (clear) brackets dont stain. it’s the clear elastics that stain. many ortho places are switching to a better type of elastic that don’t stain. it hasnt been a problem for me at all.

I’m getting my adult braces to tomorrow, so of course I’m watching YT videos about them. For starters, your braces look good on you, they are almost invisible! Do you know what kind of brackets you have? I’ve seen some ceramics that are more noticeable than others and I want yours! You are so pretty and confident I am excited to get them on now if they look like yours! Thanks. Teenie

Thank u for the compliments. I was just super excited to get em on because Im self conscious about how my teeth look now. I really can see the crookedness in my videos when I talk. Lol. I forgot to mention that part of the reason why they moved a lot too was from my wisdom teeth coming in sideways and pushing my teeth forward and out. I had to get all 4 extracted. I noticed that some ceramic braces look a little different than others too. My ortho called them “clear ceramic” but it could just be the brand of the brackets. I also noticed if your teeth are more white vs yellowish then that could reflect if the brackets look more noticeable or not too

Great video. Thank you. I had just one question: why are you lisping with your braces ? They are not lingual, and therefore you have not hardware on the inside of your teeth. I thought that it does not cause a lisp in this case. Could you explain ?

It was just me getting used to the braces in my mouth. The way my lips and tongue hit the brackets when I pronounce some words make it sound like I have a lisp. Hopefully that make sense. But I feel like im used to the braces now and I dont have the lisp. Some words with “f”s I need to slowly annunciate though

I just knew I wouldnt have the discipline to keep them on so with ceramic braces I have no choice but to keep them on. Lol. Plus I hate the feeling of those in my mouth because I’ve had those similar type of retainers when I was younger. Hope that helps!

Mine have been pretty good to me so far. What you eat and drink and how well u take care of it could play a big factor. I feel like it could be the brand too. Just like anything else, u get what u pay for. The brand im using from what my ortho told me is 3M
