32:52 an item counts if it enters your inventory for the first time. But if you take the fish and throw it while it is still on the cursor, it doesn't enter your inventory, so it doesn't count. Did you realise it gave you the advancement the moment you take it out of furnace while it was still in mause cursor. Meaning, if you just throwed that out instead of putting it to your inventory, you would finish with 1 less item. 40:41 this was exactly what I was talking about. By the way, there is a way to cheese the sniper duel achievement

If you get a diamond block and craft it to 9 diamonds, do you count those 9 diamonds to your items? By the way, would you like to try always poisonous potato challenge? The datapack is in planetminecraft. The rules for this challenge is very simple: You start with a poisonous potato and you must keep that poisonous potato in your mainhand at all times, otherwise, you lose. Note: You can still place blocks, just put the blocks in your offhand. Eating that poisonous potato will make you lose if that is the only poisonous potato that you have, but if you get more poisonous potatoes, you can eat it. This also means you can't use pickaxe and sword because these don't work in offhand. Also, you must never die. Because when you die, you drop all of your items, which is not a huge problem in normal minecraft but in this challenge, losing the poisonous potato means you lose so that means... Getting all advancements is impossible because it is impossible to get balanced diet. But I believe beating the ender dragon is possible. The datapack is on planetminecraft, I can't give link because youtube blocks links for some reason, so search it yourself.

I'll just say, the true minimum items all advancements run would be EXTREMELY painful in 1.21 and later due to the existence of the crafter, which is a required item anyway due to having its own advancement

So, while I don't envy the person who tries to do it with fewer items, it's most definitely possible to save quite a few by using a piston to move items you want into place, rather than picking them up and moving them yourself As an example where this could be used, for the beacon Slowly moving naturally spawned gold blocks into the full beacon layout would save you well over a hundred items Edit: I see that you address this at the end, my apologies

The one and only silver lining for the piston route of beacon construction is that with a piston at your disposal, the wither fight becomes significantly easier. You can actually set up an ideal environment for the battle, so long as it is still within the nether.

53:41 I don't know if this is true in 1.11.2, but right now, nether stars dropped from withers take 10 minutes to despawn as opposed to the 5 minutes required for other items. If this applies back then too, then you can just wait for everything else to despawn.

Wrong in two different directions! Java stars have always shared the same 5 minute timer as everything else, but Bedrock stars will never despawn. That being said, with the majority of the blocks being dropped towards the start of the fight and the star at the very end, you should still be able to wait out the blocks' timer and still have time to grab the star as long as you're quick about it.

A slight benefit of using a sticky piston to gather the beacon blocks is that you can move the soul sand for the wither to the nether ceiling and trap it there. It’s still awful to move that many blocks but at least there’s a very small benefit to having the piston I guess

for all advancements on the latest version a crafter (which you need anyway) can really reduce a lot of items needed for intermediete crafting steps and investing in a hopper can let you move around a ton of things without them entering your inventory (in fact you can find a hopper in trial chambers without crafting it)

I lowkey hate that mojang renamed achivements to advancements. The system is, quite literally the same as basically any other achievement system, you can call them what you want, they're still achivments to me and most people. That said, a 100% achivement run can be done in literally any version that has achievments and is as valid as any other one in the same version. Id honestly love to see a 100% achivment/advancment min item run on the newest version though.

Maybe the pickaxe if you use lava to slowly drain ocean monuments by turning the surrounding water into stone/cobblestone and then using creepers on the gold blocks, but that would take ages X_X EDIT: The strategy I suggested would probably be even slower than the piston strategy. ☠

You can save an item by stealing an enchanted sword from an end city instead crafting a sword and enchanting it. The time to strike only needs you to craft a sword, not pick it up. You can bridge to the end island by using a cobblestone generator. Maybe this could be useful for your all advancements run aswell!

I don't think this would save an item; I'd still need materials to craft a sword and getting an extra one would cancel out the enchanted book. End cities will definitely be important for all advancements, though!

I think when you do all advandments, you should ignore "How Did We Get Here?" Because nobody has done in the recent versions without commands or glitches. Because you need to somehow get a shulker, a dolphin, and an elder gaurdian (and probably more mobs) all to the deep dark. And then set up multiple becons (probably) oh and you need to brew every potion and just make an entire mess of a set-up.

The question of "How did we get here?" is meant to be an exasperated sigh. It's supposed to be byzantine and arbitrarily difficult to pull off. There's a reason it's both 1) a "secret" advancement, and 2) usually the second-last advancement gotten in all-advancement runs (because it's a speedrunning in-joke to always get wood last, when you're done). Getting a shulker to the overworld is simple, any old Shulker Shell farm can instruct you on how to move one around. The elder guardian is simple, too, since their movements are very predictable and they chase the player. The dolphin is a bit more annoying since they're a bit hard to "catch", it's probably easier to bring a shrieker/Warden up than a dolphin down, but it's still possible (but just move the warden instead, things that chase the player are much easier to move).
