I think vlogs are addictive because It feels more intimate than a reality show and there’s new episodes every single day. I worry about the long term effects of consuming this stuff tho. It is a family I don’t know and it feels stalkerish at a certain point to know so much about their lives. Part of me wonders if I’m filling in a void bc I live very far from my family… lol sorry to get depressing but it is the internet and I thought I would share this complicated feeling with everyone in hopes that I am not alone.

I teared up so hard when Trent was talking about how he named Flynn in ASL. I could feel the pride and excitement he had. That is shocking to me bc it's brain surgery, even though I've also been misdiagnosed or dismissed many times. I had unnecessary leg (muscle) surgery this year and couldn't walk normally for 2 months!!!

@@weesh4645 I can tell you what’s even more shocking is that these surgeries took place after receiving care from 5 different major US hospitals and neurosurgeons. They all came to the general consensus that they KNEW what was wrong even though I had told every last one of them over and over I didn’t think this would fix me and sure enough I was right. But when you’re in suicidal pain everyday for years and no one wants to treat your pain because they’re scared of getting in trouble, it’s hard to see things clearly in that moment when all you want to do is get up one morning and be able to think you won’t die before the end of the day. So now I’m left with holes in my skull and a chunk of my cerebellum cut out and no where closer to finding answers. I feel for everyone that has been affected at one point or another by medical gaslighting and I’m doing everything I can to fight back against it for others.

I'm an ASL student and seeing colleen sign made me so happy! I've been signing with a Deaf guy at my grandpa's hospice center and he is the most patient and kind person I have ever met. I'm only in ASL 1 but since meeting him for the first time a month ago I have picked up to other classes and I bought a book and I have learned more in the past month than I did in 6 months of my class. I understood everything colleen signed! She signs very clearly. Good job colleen!

In the meantime, I know it’s hard, but you can do it! We all love you and will be here for you! Other than the hemorrhage, your physical structure is textbook quality! Beautiful! I’m confident you’ll heal well and suffer no permanent vocal damage. You guys are GREAT!!! My husband and I will be celebrating our 45 wedding anniversary in June. Those foundation building years were so important for our family. I LOVE your gentle way of parenting. I think you both give 100% to making your precious family GREAT!!! What you are putting in now will be the glue for the times in the future that will be rough. Hi! Future music therapist and long time fan. When you got to the end of the video discussing Wesley’s ability to walk without vs. with music. Neurologically, there are certain neuro-pathways that are lit up when you are focusing on specific tasks (e.g. walking, making dinner, etc.). However, when you incorporate music with your task, in Wesley’s case, with walking, majority of his brain lit up with listening to the music, finding the beat to the music, and finding the right cue to start walking. With you, Eric and Flynn motivating him to keep going, that kept Wesley moving!! I am so glad you are keeping music very much alive in your household. Music is one of those phenomenons that helps with a lot of aspects of health, including mental health. Keep doing with what you’re doing, including plenty of vocal rest. Yes, you’re feeling like Ariel from The Little Mermaid right now (trust me, been there done that). Hopefully, you’ll be back belting high notes and performing for your fans bigger than me. I can’t even imagine how frustrating it must be to be a mom and not be able to talk to your kids. And I also wanted to say that I am really loving these vlogs lately because we are hearing so much from Erik, Flynn, Maisy, and Wesley. And I love seeing how the babies are clearly still communicating with you. They look for your facial expressions and reactions constantly.
