I got new wheels for my IS300!! (Cosmis Racing XT006R)

You guys have been hearing me talk about getting new wheels for the is300 and the day has come! I ended up deciding on the cosmis racing xt006r and I am absolutely stoked about how they came out looking!
wheels are cosmis racing xt006rs 18x9 +30 all around

Nah man, when I installed my first mod which was my grille, I gave the exact same look you did at 9:40. I just stood looking at my car sitting in the driveway like damn, this shit is really mine. Just felt surreal, probably won't ever get over it

I have the same LS400 brakes on my IS300 as well and it’s my biggest fear for buying new wheels, did you take the spacers off to put these on and how did you know they would clear the brakes?

Yup definitely was a thought in my mind too! These are on there with no spacers and I honestly didn't know if they would fit before buying them. I looked for wheels that were advertised as having a good amount of brake clearance and just shot my shot. Made sure to test fit before I put the tires on too. You can usually message the company to ask how much clearance a specific wheel has before you buy tho!

@@UnapologeticIslam the hard thing is that specs don't really change brake clearance. That being said mine are cosmis xt006r 18x9 +30. But to really be sure you're going to have to find the inner profile of the wheel. Usually you can email the company and they may be able to send you that.

Those wheels look absolutely sick! But, how did they fit? Did you roll/pull the fenders at all? No spacers? 18x9s are huge on an IS300 are they not? Great video!

Thanks! It's really all about tire sizing and offset at that point. My rear fenders are rolled but not pulled and it's a tight fit with the 255s. I probably should roll my fronts but in most circumstances I don't make contact. Thanks for watching!

@@RotaryDaddy That's really surprising that there's no rubbing up front. I've been wanting to go for MRII 17x9 but they don't make them in bronze :( Since my 300 is 6r4 green, I think the bronze will look amazing. What made you go for 18s and do IS models suffer much with larger wheels?

@@shizukesajdm at the end of the day I'm really not that low lol the mrII would look sick for sure! I haven't really noticed a difference driving it. I made sure to have the tires overall diameter end up being as close to factory as possible. Just kinda like the look of 18s for this build 🤘🏼

@@studiovulcan4411 oh lol my IS300 didn't come with tpms. If you have factory sensors, the tire shop you go to should swap em over for you, shouldn't need new ones!

I ended up getting mb battles in the same specs as you! 18x9 +30! Forgot to ask you if you were running any aftermarket arms to help with alignment, or if you’re still running the stock arms in conjunction with your coil overs

@@nikeairtown not a bad choice! So I'm still running all stock arms, but I will be upgrading soon because I can't get the alignment back to where I want it with the stock adjustment. That being said you do need to run at least the stock camber to have the 255s fit without pulling fenders 🤘🏼🤘🏼
