@@connorcampney1964 Funny enough, I'm currently in the Army National Guard. Unfortunately, it doesn't align well with my aspirations in the long term. A free bachelor's in Computer Science is definitely an upside, though. So in general, I'd recommend the route!

There’s so many people with computer science or IT degrees which are stuck at low level IT help desk or irrelevant jobs. Only those who are actually good and can prove it can make real money, highly competitive industry

As a college student, I’d say refrain from doing OF because you need a social security number to actually make money and unless you’re doing some AI animated furry content the ones that make a lot of money are the ones that show faces. At that point it would be a waste to go to college because most people go to college to get a good job afterwards and jobs will be less likely to hire you because they can see you do onlyfans during your background check. ALSOOO, With how busy you’re going to be there is no way you’ll be able to juggle, studying for classes going to classes and promoting/filming content without losing your sanity lol. But you should definitely look into DoorDash and maybe Lyft or Uber because in my experience, there’s a heavy market for that especially in the evenings!

Look at jobs in your area. Look at the experience they demand. Start learning those skills and get real experience by working on your own projects (ideally collaborating with other contributors some way). The experience you try get depends on your area and the type of job you’re going for. You can start with some basic programming languages like python but you need to expand past that and get familiar with many languages and libraries and other structures that are used in the job you are applying for. You’ll find that any computer science job has like 8+ bullet points of required knowledge/skills and they’re all different languages or software or whatever. Database, OOP language, servers etc which are always specific services like Amazon AWS as an example. Being able to write hello world in python doesn’t teach you how to build a program from scratch and host it on AWS with a server and database.

I got paid $100/hour when I was in college. I worked as an software engineer intern for summer at a trading company in NY. They give me extra $6k for housing and provide me food/snack at work. Tbh, I chose the company back then because of money and I’m kinda interested in trading/stocks. 😅 I look up for one of highest paid. 😂 They paid more than FAANG. I thought it’s very high already (equal or even higher than some full time engineers). But then a girl I know through my friend got paid $120/hr without doing anything (mostly just observation. Not sure if she lied or not lol) in WA. I really want to know which company she did the internship back then tho. Now she works at Microsoft. 😂
