It took 5 years, we follow a trimester schedule and took no breaks. That gives us 8 school terms and 6 internship terms.

How many leetcode problems did you do? How did you structure your study plan?

I think I did about ~150 before I got my internships at Google and Bloomberg. Then I did 100 more when preparing for my FB internship interviews.

@@ChrisChangSWE That's a lot of hard work! :) I have a Facebook Production Engineering Intern Interview coming up. How many leetcode problems do you suggest doing for the algorithms round of the interview? The first is a Linux Test, then an algorithms interview and finally a systems engineering interview. If you have any friends who have been through the process or are currently working on the facebook PE team, it would be great to have more insight about this role and the interview process through a youtube video! :D

Chris, will you be doing Masters or PhD? Do you recommend doing it for Software Engineer?

There isn't much benefit to do a masters if you are staying in industry. If you want to do research in the ML/AI area then a PhD is probably worth it but you need to also consider the opportunity cost of getting it.

Yes you should study system design for your interviews. When you go to work you should also understand why the system you're working in was built the way it was.
