Yeah, you're right. It needs to be antique tags in order to not need the inspection in Virginia. But then you're technically limited to only driving the car within 250 miles of the garaged location on your license and a couple of other limitations and such.

+GoodeZilla VA cops are dicks. Last year I drove my 97 GTR RB30 down to the Virginia Beach show. I got 2 tickets one coming and another leaving lol. The first cop was like "why are you driving to fast, this is one of those Japanese fast and furious cars ain't it?" My response was "yep!?! And where I'm from we drive 75 mph everywhere lol", the second cop I think I pissed off more because he told me "leave Virginia now and don't come back, unless I wanna walking back to New Jersey!!"

I may be wrong, but because the car is older then 25 years old it qualifies as a "Historical Vehicle" thus it doesn't need to be inspected.

no inspection or emissions on cars 25 years and older depending on the state you live in. some states like Florida doesn't have any inspections or emissions. it's under some legal act can't specifically think of it right now but it's why importers can get good stuff now. no inspection or emissions on vehicles 25 years and older

I enjoyed your GTR GoodeZilla! That cop was too funny and nosey, "SUPRA???" HAAAAA I'm in the 757 area of VA, but get the antique plates, ZERO VA inspection required! He was right, regular VA tags=inspection stickers. You should bring that to VA Beach Car Expo, next time it happens. When I was stationed in Japan back in the day, I was so excited to have discovered the "Japanese Muscle Car" and send pics of it to the states, Super Clean ride Brother, stay positive!

Yeah in Va if you have antiques you dont need an inspection sticker, its always good to still get inspected. My 1988 4Runner gets pulled for it at least once a week, always fun when you're 16 and get pulled over once a week
