Sorry that happened to you. Your logo and name instantly reminded me of Pippi Longstocking . It’s so close it’s almost on top of it. It’s a reminder that similar can get you sued. I know it sucks ❤ love you idea and ambition❤

I am so very sorry this happened to you. Though this is helping your audience to avoid this from happening to them. The bottle cap idea is brilliant and I plan to start making items using your idea. I think the name is what caused the problem. But why didn't your attorney catch this?

Thanks for sharing the video, this is an important message for small business owners. Yeah, your logo has girls with up turned pigtails and patches on their dresses. And of course, the name of the business itself is all reminiscent of the books and movies. But it doesn’t take away from your fun designs and hard work.

Wow, I am so sorry. It seems to me that they sued you simply because they saw you on TV and thought that they could, that they had an argument because of the name "Pippi" and because the girls' hairstyles very loosely resemble those of the original Pippi L. I think the name Pippi is unusual, and it immediately makes me think of Pippi Longstocking, however, if they did not trademark the name "Pippi" alone, without "Longstocking" I don't quite understand how they could sue you. Your images don't look like Pippi Longstocking. As you mentioned, she had red hair, freckles, and braids. I named my business after a stuffed animal I had in childhood, that I gave a strange name to. I searched on the trademark database and could not find that anyone else had used that name. But it is so scary. Thanks so much for sharing what you went through. It means a lot to me that you shared this with all of us.

I havent even heard Longstocking in SO many years! At first when i saw Pippi I first thought peppa pig. Im sorry you went through this. Especially since the company didn't speak up in the waiting comment period I dont see a resemblance to the original character

I know I was probably five when I started watching that storybook series, but it just shows you that you have to be so careful and even when you hire somebody to help you, mistakes can be made. I can see the resemblance now and understand, but it took me years to see it probably making this video is when I finally saw it.

I see tons of Mickey and Minnie Mouse images sold on Etsy. Tons of Grinch, and all kinds of trademarked images. It's just a matter of time before they get caught and are sued.

And the sad thing is alot of people are buying templets and kits off ETSY tor from so called Craft Coaches thinking its ok to sell.

What kills me is that they don't go after the edibles such as cakes, cookies, toppers. This surprises me because Disney doesn't play when it comes to trademark infringement.

sadly, yes, your characters strongly resemble the story character. the only thing missing is the red hair. it looks like your artist took inspiration from pippi long stocking. i'm sorry this happened to you. i was a business owner for a while and, though i did not trademark or copyright anything, i definitely understand the importance of protecting your work and how devastating that must have been for you. i hope you find your feet again and strike out as an entrepreneur again. your marketing material is fabulous.

I remember when bottle cap everything was the rage and they still seem to be out there. I do see the close resemblence to Pippi Longstocking but I'm wondering why you didn't continue just selling items without putting them under a brand name. Did the lawsuit mar your relationship with the top stores?
