Congrats on finishing the line! And agreed 100% on the shiny locked rant btw. Instantly made me disappointed when I found out before I even booted up the game for the dlc. Huge L on Gamefreak’s part, with literally no upsides whatsoever

I agree with your rant. I'm numb when they shiny locked legendaries for the story like Ogrepon and Terapados, But shiny locking everything else was awful and tainted the DLC for me. I'm assuming they did this to drive up sales for SWSH and BDSP. Nice job with the Weedle line by the way.

I don’t think it’s because they want to sell more copies of older games. I think they just don’t want people to hunt for shinies. There’s been a few mentions about game freak employees saying they just want the legendary on its own to feel special, along with them not thinking it’s fair that some people will just find the shiny legendary randomly while others won’t. They’re just really out of touch because they are really controlling over a mechanic that has been getting more and more popular throughout the years and they would’ve probably sold more of the dlc if they didn’t lock the legendaries. Even I don’t feel the dlc was worth it this time around. You spend $35 for essentially 10 new Pokémon (not including new evolutions) and all but 2 are shiny locked. On top of that 4 of the paradox Pokémon are version exclusive so you would have to drop another $35 just to catch the extra 2 Pokémon. IMO I would’ve just preferred spending $60-$70 on just a full new game. Sorry for ranting more but yeah I just really haven’t been happy with how they’ve been handling the newest games in this series that I love. I hope they make some good changes for the next game!

@@ThedomiNATION I understand, it was just a theory i thought of considering the Dex cut, lack of game communication with other mainline switch games, and the competitive scene if you've seen it. Especially after Bank shuts down.

I highly doubt they will ever open their eyes and listen to the community they usually do what they want every time. Btw congrats on the shiny beedrill the blue eyes really do make it stand out more.

Are you gonna use SV to hunt the rest of the shiny Alcremie line (not sure if you finished it) or are you still use SWSH?

Because of how easy shinies are in SV, i plan to change my quest to hunt them all full odds! I want to start with the first set of 7 in SWSH though as I want to try to get one with the Misty mark for my shiny mark master quest! I’m just finishing up some hunts before I start with that!

Currently Shiny hunting for Mareep in Heart Gold. Its not easy! But currently have 13 Shinies. Hitmontop, Victreebell, Tangrowth, Farfetch'D, Ditto, Graveler, Octillery, Pikachu, Qwilfish, Raticate, Machoke, Crobat, and Azumarill. ✨
