Nice compilation! How do you backup your cartridge saves and do you keep all your shinies in cart or move to home?

Currently I keep all my shinies in my leaf green cartridge but one day I plan to move them into home (so I can have my collection all in one place) to back up my save files on my gba games I use an R4 card! There’s a program called gba backup tool you can use and all you do is have the gba cartridge in the bottom slot of the ds and the r4 card running the gba backup tool, and you can back up save files and also load save files onto cartridges if you want!

Nice video My quickest hunt on my current devices was 4k 😅 (5 total shinys) My quickest hunt on emulator (still original emerald) were like 2k encounters in 17 shinys. Technically I only counted the encounters between every shiny. If its just about the hunt it was 30 encounters for Regice and shiny heracross in safari after 123 encounters. But in both cases I already made 8k+ encounters before elsewhere

Dom1nator, where do you recommend searching for old GBA Pokémon games? Used to have all the gen 3 games, but down to just Ruby and FireRed after my mom threw out all my games when I moved to college back in 2013. Yea, I’m salty, but oh well. The only reason Ruby and FireRed survived is because I had them hidden in a secret case and accidentally stowed them in one of my school bags. Trying to get the old gba games to work on the living Dex with only Pokeballs, inspired by your other videos!

Honestly I just look for games on eBay and try to look for ones with good prices that look like they’re in good condition. Most of my gba games I’ve bought were before the price increases and I just bought them off GameStop but sadly they don’t sell them anymore. It’ll be tough finding a good price but every now and then you can find some crazy deal if you look around many sites. Another option is to buy a Japanese copy as those are very inexpensive still! I recently bought a Japanese copy of Ruby for $18!

I might mess around with color correction on my camera but I stopped using an iPhone because for the wide shots, it was a lot harder to see the shinies.

I have a fake firered myself--do you know if shiny starters are possible there? I've heard a lot of no's about it /: and I wonder if they really won't transfer up

Fake copies generate Pokémon the same way as authentic copies. I’ve hunted multiple shiny starters on my fake copy. The only thing you need to watch out for with fakes is that they can be extremely unstable. Before shiny hunting in them I would recommend testing if you can use them in a ds to transfer up or if you can trade with them. My specific FireRed can trade and do everything normal, but as soon as you try to put it in a ds, it’ll delete the save file. So if I catch a Pokémon in it that I want to transfer up to gen 4, I need to first trade it to an authentic copy before trying to migrate

@@RubyGroudonXx I’ve never had anything happen with beating the elite 4 but I can’t say for sure if that’s real or not considering it forces a save at the end. I would just do a play through and test everything you want to to make sure it’s safe before spending hours on a shiny only for the save file to be corrupted

I’m currently working on Zapdos, only double hunting. Crazy thing is, 58 isn’t my craziest. I got the shiny gift scorbunny in home… yeah that’s probably the rarest I’ll ever get. Apparently you can reroll them 3 times. But I got one without even knowing, I claimed them and checked next day.
