Congrats. I want to do a shiny generational quest myself in the future. My two favorite Kanto Pokemon are Omaynte and Magnemite. But I don't know how to hunt Magnemite in gen 1 or Omanyte in gen 2 without glitches/cheats.

The fully legit way to hunt omanyte in gen 2 would be to send it in from gen 1 and breed for it. It wouldn’t be full odds if you’re trying to do that but that would be the most legit way to do it. Otherwise you would probably have to use ACE to have it appear in the wild. As for magnemite in gen 1 unfortunately I think the only way is to use the mew glitch for it.

@@ThedomiNATION thank you for your answer. My silver copy is in german. The coin case glitch doesn't work there. I didn't know that Pokémon encounters from the trainer fly glitch can be shiny. I will look into that.

@@erikzerbian3016 oh I didn’t realize that the coin case glitch only worked in specific languages. As for the trainer fly glitch, they can be shiny! There’s been a handful of people who have shiny hunted using it including getting shiny mew!

@@ThedomiNATION can’t think of any male serpent names. But some sort of sea serpent from mythology would be awesome for the name. because they fit with Gyarados so well.

Ragenarok the Gyarados? It has an extra 'e' in 'ragnarok' to reference Norse mythology and the Lake of Rage.

Yeah! I’ve had that there for a while but it seemed a lot more noticeable this video. I have since cleaned my camera sensor and now it’s not there anymore! So it shouldn’t show up in future videos!
