See, we can't choose who we're attracted to/ fall in love with, but when a person shows you they're bigot that would be a major turn off for me and rip the rose tinted glasses off real quick, especially if it's hatred against a queer family member or racism. By actively choosing to marry her, even when OP pointed out how this hurt him and that it would damage their relationship, the brother still chose her. I honestly believe if you truly love your brother or are truly an ally, you show it through your actions. OP's brother showed how little respect and love he has for OP. And the parents aren't much better. Sure, they love their kids and don't want to loose one of them, but in trying to keep the peace they are choosing a side, they are loosing a son. So the girl ended giving me an apology (very reluctantly) that I accepted. I never saw her on any of my shifts after that. But about a few weeks after the incident she ended up quitting. The reason was I guess her mom also worked there and she was fired for different reasons (not showing up to work, being lazy etc). So the girl also left with her mom. We have gotten more people before this happened so we weren't too badly affected, but it was still a pain the readjust for a week after. So I guess this is still a victory.

That first story is legendary.
